Good morning
28° Here this morning!

. North Pole, AK is 25°, and home is 35°. Someone needs to remind me again why we came south!
I posted a photo of my fox quilt and started the reindeer Quilt yesterday. You can check Lori‘s photo of that one if you want to see it. I finished the stars yesterday and cut the rest of the quilt out. Plan to sew much of today.
Jana, good plan to get Aaron to haul up the boxes of decorations and then share some with him! I gave a lot of decorations to Alec & Drew when they got their own homes.
Irish, when is Kathy coming to visit? Will Tim come with her? Your house must look like Santas workshop by now! don’t feel too badly about Florida. They get cold, too. A few years ago Al & Tina spent much of the winter in Florida. They said it got so cold that the zoo was putting sweaters on the monkeys. They thought that was really funny. We happened to be in Pasadena, California (

) at the time so we went to a thrift shop, bought a stuffed monkey and a baby sweater, put the sweater on the monkey and sent it to them. ( I know, small things amuse small minds.). It took them 2 yrs to finally get our joke!
Lori, of course I had to Google your frosty friends. Seems there are quite a few projects called “frosty friend“. But they all looked fun! But I have a snowman quilt already at home so I am going to let this one pass.
Tina, did it come??
We are hoping it will be warm enough to grill burgers and eat outside tonight. We invited Al & Tina to join us. They said they will bring potato salad and beans. I think I will put my Christmas tablecloth on the picnic table today. Time to put the turkey tablecloth away.
Whats for supper at your house?

Good afternoon from the Winter Wonderland! For once the weather people were right...Woke up to a few inches of very wet, heavy snow....I was so determined to get to my doctor's appointment but it just didn't work out....By the time I would have cleared a path and then cleaned off the car, my cardiologist would have had to meet me at the ER....And it's been snowing, (fine) all day...Not much movement in the neighborhood, everyone must have stocked up yesterday.....It is very, very pretty as that 1st snow always is but we've had enough, it can go away and be 75 and I'll be happy......
Mary, I think you might be colder than us...That's awful, especially is you want to cook and eat outside.....Yes, Tim is coming this trip....He's the one who keeps saying why would anyone go to Pa. in the middle of winter? Silly boy, doesn't he know winter doesn't come to Pa. until Feb. But, they will be coming on the 13th and then we're going to Carlisle on the 17th and having our Christmas on the 19th, back home on the 20th and Kathy leaves on the 21st...Cari has a nice big house but Kathy decided to rent a place at the Military base...When you have 7 extra people, does get just a bit crowded....
I had made reservations for Florida on Dec. 23rd then Kathy said to go on the 21st so we could make just 1 trip to the airport but then I started thinking and decided to delay my trip until Jan....Of course my sister wants to go down in Feb. or March so we'll see.....
Mary, I've been thinking about your brother and what he's going through these days....Probably the hardest thing he's had to do but it's for the best...Will certainly keep them in my prayers, hoping the transition is a smooth one....
Becca, I'll bet your house looks so pretty...Wish we could all peek in the windows and see everyone's decorated homes.....
Lori, you're another one we can't keep up with...You're already on the next one before I get a chance to see the last one, lol.....Between you and Mary, my head is spinning......Gorgeous, gorgeous work!
Jana, Good idea about having Aaron help with your stuff and better idea having him take some....If he lived closer, he could help himself to some of mine too....And your house is another, we'd like to peek in the window...And to avoid getting in trouble, how about posting pictures...
Since I didn't leave the house this morning, you'd think I'd have accomplished something but just isn't happening...I go from one thing to another and finish nothing....I was going to go out and sweep/shovel but that sounds like too much work so hopefully, Mother Nature will take care of the snow in a day or so...So, decided to straighten a few cupboards in the kitchen...Was going to bake some cookies but will wait until I have all day....Nick did tell me, it takes about 2 1/2 weeks to get anything over there so I'll have to get on the ball....
As for dinner, left overs are gone so I should have something new but it might be a poached egg and toast...I'm thawing some zucchini that I had shredded and maybe I can mix up a couple loaves of zucchini bread......
You all have a great rest of the day.......
Happy eating.....................

Good afternoon!
Been a busy little beaver this morning and now Scrooge is growling as he is trying to do the budget for the month and I went and charged a bunch of stuff - it had to be done, so he will just growl and I will ignore! LOL! Aaron did haul up the stuff and we told him where to put it, well, as per a child usual, he didn't listen and it is in the wrong room, so that means I had better get busy and get it out, in a different order than I had planned. He blocked in all my ornament boxes and all the quilts, table runners and such, so I have to do some fancy dancing to get at it.
Also need to get groceries, that I forgot to order and need - especially the packing tape. So checked with Sarah and she needed some things too, so added hers to mine. Picking that up in a hour or so and will stop and drop off Sarah's on the way home. Dinner was very good last night, so I will do it again. Chef Salads and I make homemade croutons with leftover stale sourdough bread. Oh are they yummy. You can't eat just one! You keep going back and nibbling, so I have to make them each time, no leftover of those.
Sewing in the Batt Cave and freezing my feet - my little girls disappeared my slippers for down here and I need to find them! Fast!
Take Care - Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana
