Good morning and happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I am back on my phone. I closed my laptop and leaned it up between our little end table in my recliner. Somehow, it caught between the foot rest handle and the chair itself and it got squished. Now it doesn’t work. Fortunately, we bought it from Costco and we also bought the insurance for it. So not sure if this means a repairman comes to our campsite like was going to do with Bill‘s new computer until he just chucked that whole plan and is returning it, or if we have to mail it someplace or if we get a new one. But for now, it’s the phone again, And I’m thankful to have that!

Last night I had a dream that my daughter, Lara, and I had to cook dinner for a fraternal orders gathering. Don’t know what club it was but we decided to make macaroni and cheese. We thought 20 people. Turns out it was 450 people plus spouses! I figured I would have to use my trailer oven as well as my house oven. LOL. And we were going to have to make huge salads! What a goofy dream it was

Today we will gather at Autumn‘s about noon. Just sister and brother-in-law and Autumn and her new “friend“. And us. Dogs are invited as well as she has big fenced backyard. We will take chairs and eat outside. She visited us yesterday and we sent most of the food home with her but I will be making a pumpkin pie this morning and try to keep it intact while the 4 of us ride in the cab of our pick up with two shelties.

Jana, I was wondering about Sarah all day yesterday. Sorry she has to have surgery but glad they have found the problem. And so glad it’s a much smaller surgery than it was in the old days!

Tina, you are probably bouncing off the walls! Hope they are able to come soon to set up your frame

Becca, have a happy day with family. Again. 😀

Lori, yes, that’s how much I love my sister - tuna! But, I made a double batch and so I was able to get two cans of it out of my pantry in one sitting! 😏

We are probably all having a similar dinner today. Autumn and her friend are both vegetarians so they have a Tofurkey I think. She is also cooking the turkey breast we bought for us. I Handed it off to her yesterday. She is also planning corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, rolls and dressing. And lots of accompaniments like olives, pickles, cranberries, etc.

Enjoy your special supper, whatever it is!

Happy Turkey Day!

I have one pie in the oven, it's almost done. I have a very small turkey roast to bake later. With just the two of us, not doing a big dinner. I have always cooked the big Thanksgiving dinner, since we were married. Taught all my kids to cook one too. So today, Matt is cooking and made lemon meringue pies. Aaron has his bird brined and ready in St George and Sarah is doing a small bird at her house. Good to pass on those traditions.

Sewing after the pie is out. It can cool out on the deck. Outside is colder than my refrigerator. We got snow

Mary - a late bd wish for your sister. Enjoy your family dinner.

Pie is done, heading to the Batt Cave.

Hugs,
Jana

Dinner here was delicious! Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas and cranberry relish with Pumpkin Pie for dessert. Hope all of your dinners today turned out as well as mine.

I sorted through a stack of recipes I have been saving. Some I have made multiple times and needed a more permanent copy. Others were recipes I had tried and we didn't like, so I threw those away. Then there were the ones I haven't even tried, some I tossed and others I saved. Then I spent time typing up the good ones and placing into my recipe notebook.

I did go for a walk in beautiful weather. It was sunny, clear and cool. Good day for a walk!

Mary - Happy BD to your sis. Glad you had some tuna on hand for her lunch. I am surprised you keep it in your pantry!

Jana - Everyone will have a wonderful Thanksgiving with the good training they had in your kitchen. Hope you enjoy your dinner as well.

Becca - I know you have enjoyed this week with Children and GC. Rest up today if you can!

Tina - You must be so happy to get your machine! Have fun with the machine and your family.
