Good morning,
We are in Bakersfield parked in the middle of the orange grove. The trees are loaded, but all the oranges are still green!

. But it is still very nice here. One of our favorite stops on this trip so we will spend a second night just to enjoy it. Will spend the day walking, reading, cross stitching. Just not worth getting the machine out for only one day. We also will take the truck and fill up with diesel sans trailer. Always nicer to hit the fuel stations without the trailer if possible. People often suggest we stop at this LQS, that restaurant, or some other cute little place. Just can’t do it when you are a 50-foot mule train!!
My DBIL texted that he did find a turkey breast - 6-1/2#! Guess I forgot to tell him the plan is to cook it in the crockpot! We may have to cut it in half and use two crockpots - mine and my sisters. Our ovens are too small, Plus, it will probably be 80° and I don’t want to heat the trailer. But, at least we will have turkey for Thanksgiving!
Tonight, chicken noodle soup! We have a cooked chicken breast left over and everything I need to make a small crock pot of soup.
What’s your supper going to be?

Mary, your about 2 hour away. Drop in and say hi. lol
Got home yesterday afternoon. So I didn't do any sewing yesterday. Came home and started cleaning.
Then we went out to dinner.
To night I'll have to figure something out for dinner. I'm sure a grocery store run is in order.
Have a lovely day.

Good morning!
Cloudy and cold here, more snow expected. Only about 30 and it is near noon.
Dinner - the cheese manicotti didn't get made last night, so it will tonight. Ethan was here last night and tonight. Sarah needed a endoscopy and that happened this morning. She had been having stomach pain and they checked for a ulcer. None were found and the doctor took biopsies of several other areas. Talked to her already and she is doing well, but tired. The results will be back next week.
So I am doing some school with Ethan and then entertaining him as well. Working on my bench pillow too.
Mary - enjoy Bakersfield. Sorry the oranges aren't ripe yet.
Lori - glad you are home safe.
Well, off I go, recess is over,
Hugs,
Jana

Hi everyone!
We've had a busy run run day today! First was taking the dogs to the groomer, then we went and bought a turkey and some other groceries that we were running low on. Came home and got all those put away, very time consuming, ugh. Then it was lunch time and then it was time to get Dad's pick up order at Walmart. Got all his delivered and put some away, he wanted to finish them. Then home and put supper on; beef and noodles. Then time to pick the dogs up LOL I tell you it was a busy running day. Dad came for supper, it was yummy! I need to clean my kitchen and work on my sewing room!
Our governor just shut our state down again for 2 weeks starting Monday.
Mary, that's a bummer about the oranges but glad your enjoying staying there enough to add another day, it must be a very nice place!
Jana, hoping all is alright with Sarah.
Becca, our leaves are falling like crazy too!
Lori, cleaning is a never ending chore. I hope yours goes fast!
Frankie is having a hard time with these short days LOL I'm like whatever dude, there's still 12 hours of daylight in the day! He just wants something to blame for him not doing much

I have half my sewing room back together, there's still a lot of little things to do though and one is my thread holders too hang up and my rules. Oh and also another small set of shelves. I have plenty to keep me busy
