SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Nov 5th

Good morning!
We were mostly dry and a balmy 64* yesterday but it got very breezy in the afternoon and will again today, though it will be 10 degrees cooler. Not bad for November! Our house-sitter came over last night and toured the house. He asked if he could rake leaves! ASKED!!! We told him OK, but we'd have to charge him extra for all the fun he was going to have.
lol! (no, we're charging him nothing and he's paying nothing. Win/win!) Plus, As a psychologist, he knows a lot about Huntington's Disease and already understands what motivates Vicki in some of her behaviors. Since we don't have a second bedroom, I'm going to move some things out of my sewing room to make room for him to set up his own bed as he has to store it someplace anyway. He'll put his dresser across the hall in the quilting room.
Speaking of Vicki, the neighbor across the road saw her in the middle of the road taking hits at cars with her walking stick as they tried to maneuver around her. That neighbor called the crisis line so two social workers made a visit yesterday along with Megan (V's DD). Eventually everyone left. So nothing's changed.
I spent yesterday organizing trailer, cleaning house, and cutting fabric. The house is ready to leave. The trailer is about as full as I can stuff it and I'm almost done cutting fabric. PLus I have a massage today! Ahhh . . . . It's going to be a good day!
LORI - thanks for the reindeer link! Tina sent it to me, too! I've pulled my fabrics and am ready to get started! But foxes must come first. My pattern will be delivered to Autumn in Texas so I'll pick it up there. I Googled Holliberry but I only came up with a fabric line by Corey Yoder, not a quilt. Did I miss it or did you buy fabric? Good thing I didn't see an actual quilt. I always love everything you do and I can't afford any more projects!
IRISH - I think you are right about the flu shot lessening the severity of Covid. It's always been touted to make colds easier, too. Glad you got yours when you did! We got ours first of Sept. Oh, a dust ruffle sounds like the ideal solution to your problem! How is your sister feeling? I'd be sticking close to home, too!
JANA - oh, we love all those things you mentioned on our nachos, too. I just forgot about them when I was listing them. Hmmm.... Should I pack another can of refried beans in my RV pantry?. .. . So did you make any progress on Minnie? And you mentioned your JN. . . Are you planning to resurrect it soon? Bet the house is quiet with Sarah gone.
BECCA - We sure could use a Marty in our lives! He and Denise are real treasures! So nice to have those trees cut up. I know your grands will love playing with the Nativity Set.
I had just enough chili left last night to freeze for a meal on the road for us. Tonite we're going to have leftover chicken with Dijon sauce and saute'd brussels sprouts. Will ask Bill if he wants white or sweet potatoes, which will be baked no matter what he chooses. Or perhaps fried apples . . . And we have some cornbread left. So dinner will almost fix itself.
What sounds good to you tonite?
