SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Oct 22nd

Good morning!
We're to have a pretty decent day, weather-wise. 52* and sunny. Bill & Al spent yesterday working on the trailer roof an are hopeful to finish or nearly finish that project today. They are working under the solid shelter roof so that's been nice for them. Tina has been arranging and rearranging everything in her trailer like a little girl with a new Barbie Dream House on Christmas morning. Considering they only had about 4 boxes of things they left here from their last visit, it's not a lot of stuff, but she's truly enjoying herself. I'm happy to see it. They will be leaving sometime this morning. I got her pillow covers finished and gave her all her leftover fabric. My sewing room is a disaster now, though, so guess where I'll be today. But I might also have some time to start putting my own embroidered quilt blocks (state birds) together. We'll see. It's time to start getting winter sewing projects organized, too. I can't get into our trailer because the steps are folded up and there is a scaffolding in front of the doorway.
BECCA - you have had some joyous times at your house with more to come! Not to mention some tasty suppers and desserts! I love cherry pie!
LORI - glad you are back with us again! We love soups here but actually consider them, especially broth soups, great for light summer suppers. I've got all the makings for split pea soup and that may be on the menu soon here.
CAROL - I'm so sorry to read about your kitty. What breed/color is she? And what is her name?
JANA - I read your 'rant' and just couldn't believe it! The world is full of idiots and they walk among us. Praying no one in YOUR family gets sick or worse because of the actions of those oh-so-selfish people!
My lasagna last night was soo good, if I do say so myself. I made my sauce from scratch (or nearly so) and let it simmer for 3 hours. and there was enough for leftovers for us and for my sis to take to reheat tonite when they are camped along the Columbia for their first night on their trip home. So no cooking for either of us! There is even leftover salad and garlic/parmesan bread.
