Good morning!

We've got rain and some wind! Not like poor Louisiana, but it's still an impressive storm (for us) and will leave some folks without power. We woke up early (thank you Scottie and Foxy! :x ) and DH and I are out on the deck, sharing the swing, and listening to it rain. It's still dark but we have our twinkle lights on. 56* but actually feels warmer.

Yesterday we planted a gooseberry bush my friend gave me out of her yard. I hope it survives. I didn't realize they have BIG stickers! And it was a BIG bush! Gooseberry pie was my dad's favorite. I'd never seen a bush before but always bought the canned berries. I also got 72 of the 168 little flying geese made that I need for the fancy sashing I'm doing on my 30-block UGRR. I'm loving how it's turning out though it's time consuming. But I'm in my happy place so no rush! Today will be so wet that I'm sure it will be another sewing day. And maybe a few inside chores, too. Clean the laundry room perhaps? And even do a load of clothes while I'm in there? Really, my laundry "room" is sort of a nook shut off from the family room by folding louvered doors. I wouldn't want more because then I'd have more to clean!

CAROL (without an 'e'), your guild seems big to me, though I know Cindy's guild is like 700. I guess I belong to a very select guild of just 1! I don't personally know of a single other local person who quilts. It will be nice to have your house all freshly painted! What color are you doing it?

JANA - yay for Minnie! Now how long will it take you to make those blocks?

BECCA - I, too, put off many spring appts because of Covid - dental, eye, mammo. But eventually I got them all caught up this past summer. But kind of a pain . . . A peck of apples? Is that like a bushel? I used to know, but I've forgotten my measurements!

I texted Chickie yesterday. She is having carpal tunnel issues and had to go for medical tests to confirm diagnosis. She may need surgery, but she says not until she finishes her Christmas sewing! And she's deep into that, making 3 Hungry Hungry Caterpillar quilts for the 3 new babies in their family.

Tonite's supper here is going to be chicken and veggie stirfry with rice. Bill is already drooling. It's one of his favorites.

I hope the thought of your supper is making you drool!

Good morning!
I've been catching up, I think I've read every day that I missed.
I sure am praying for Irish and her sister. 🙏
Mary, I'm glad that Vicki was finally served.
My Dad was and my brother is RV repair people. The price they quoted you on your roof seems way too high to me! I sure hope Bill can do it 🤞
I do know fiberglass is a bear to work with! He needs to be really cautious.
Carol, I can't even imagine belonging to a guild your size, I don't do well at all around that many people. I always thought a guild of 50 would be way too big for me LOL I think 10 to 20 would be a perfect cozy size ❤
Jana, I'm sorry your planter got broken in the earthquake. I hope they don't downsize it.
Becca, what are you going to make with your apples?
Yesterday was Preston's 5th birthday. We went over for sandwiches, presents, cake and ice cream, it was a fun couple of hours. We left when the groomer text that Duncan and Rosie were ready. Duncan is about 96% better and Rosie about 85% better on the Apoquel. Rosie has lost a few pounds with her thyroid medicine so hopefully they will both be at 100% soon. I quit giving the baths every 2 to 3 days now and they went the full 2 weeks between grooming this time with no bath, my back and knees are thankful.
I did most of my windows yesterday, I have 5 left to do this morning, make the bed and run the vacuum over the area rugs and fix supper. I'm going to try and sort a couple things in my sewing room throughout the day here and there. That's my plan anyways.
I think I'll make chicken for supper..... or spaghetti, not sure just yet.
I hope you all stay safe and well.
Tina

Good morning!

Just goofing off here watching antique tractors auction. Michael would love to collect a few, but shucky darn, I don't have a place for them. :)

Mary - thank you ahead of time for sharing your rain. It will be here tomorrow. Hope your transplanted bushes make it. Whenever I transplanted plants, I would water them with a transplant shock prevention solution. Vit B 1, I get it at Lowes or the like. I had tons of Shasta daisies at the Concord house for a time.

Tina - good report on the puppies, glad the meds are working.

Dinner - Humm- we will see what pops out of the freezer and if I am still sewing on Minnie. Tomorrow we are going to Matt's for family dinner and I am bringing the afters. I will make cream puffs. They are easy.

Heading down to the Batt Cave to work more on Minnie. I had, operative word, had, a 0lanned layout, but Sarah is redesigning what I was thinking. I may win out, as she wants to redesign the layout on EQ7, but the basement finishing will get in the way and I need to get this done. We will see.....

Stay safe!

Hugs,
Jana

Becca I am not offended with the misspelling. There is another Carole who has an “e” and makes sure everyone knows so I thought I would make it clear it wasn’t me. After all there is more than one Mary! Lol
