Good early morning,

Actually it's more like Friday Eve here but you get the idea. .

Yesterday turned into an odd day. Two sheriff's deputies were at Vicki's and then Ben arrived. The order was finally served! That only took 2 weeks and 5 tries . . Vicki was pretty angry the rest of the day, banging her stick on the window at us. Hard. She's going to break it one of these days. Ben met Bill out on the road and told him that Vicki is now hosing down the inside of her house. Since she's ripped up all the flooring, there is only particle board and sheetrock which, of course, will absorb the water and eventually will mold. Not sure of her motivation for that, but apparently she is ripping out the interior walls because she is "building a dark room". Say what?? Ben told her that she needs walls to have a dark room. As far as we know Vicki has never been into photography. Also, we learned there have been some incidents where she has gone to liquor stores, drunk, and caused disturbances. Once family was called and once police. She's giving liquor a bad name! A friend of ours who knows Vicki, too, says living next door to her is like a made for TV movie.

Since our trailer is 'in port' until we leave for Texas (and Bill has good start on repairs!) I decided since I have more time this week than I will the rest of the month that it was a good time to go through Christmas stuff that I want to take - quilts, tree, few decorations, clothes, kitchen towels, mugs, tablecloths, lights, etc. I ended up washing everything washable so it's nice and fresh, and putting it into the trailer. So I'm set for Christmas in Texas! But sadly, no sewing got done. Maybe today.

IRISH texted me. She said she just isn't recovering very fast and is so fatigued that she can hardly get out of bed. This virus is The Worst! And her poor sister is having troubles, too. Since they were both discharged from the hospital, Joanne has had two ER runs and the second time was admitted and is now on a ventilator. She is asking for prayers for them both.

JANA - is your hibiscus a Rose of Sharon? I love hibiscus of all kinds. Congrats on finishing the gnomes! Will they go over your couch for the holidays? And I'm assuming Minnie Mouse is next up? When is Dan & family due to arrive?

BECCA - a haircut always feels so good! I need one, too, but am waiting a few more weeks until just before we leave because I won't be getting one for 3 months. I may ask her to cut it shorter than usual. I bet those farm fresh fruits and veggies taste so good! I got some honey crisp apples earlier this week at the grocery store and they are delicious!

CAROL - wow! I think a Guild of 143 members is huge! And just think - you're the boss of everybody!! :D For a short while I belonged to a quilt group here but it kind of turned into a general craft group. If there were any officers, I never noticed. No meetings. Just met once a week at the library and hand stitched things, showed off finished projects, and gossiped. Most were not very friendly and I never fit in and was relieved when we finally left for a winter south. I never went ba.ck to the group

I'm thinking of making pizza for supper. I found a half-jar of pizza sauce in the fridge so I better use it up. I have pepperoni, olives, bacon, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella, and parm. I'm already hungry!

What are you hungry for tonight?

Good morning!

Thanks Mary for the update on our Irish and her sister JoAnn. Many prayers for both of them. It is a long hard struggle.

Mary - the Vicki saga continues. It is such a sad situation with her disease and the state complicating any help. The scaffolding system will be a good safety help for Bill to get the repairs done.

Not much happening here. Sarah helped me get the thread for Minnie Mouse yesterday. Now I need to create a jig/template to use to repeat the placement for each of the silhouettes. Hopefully I can succeed.

Dinner - simple chicken fried steak and if I get in the mood, mashed potatoes and country gravy with the drippings. I do have some very fresh potatoes I can use. :)

Becca - prayers for our little twins!

Well, better get going,
Hugs,
Jana

No honest, our guild is not big. Minnesota has a guild with 900 members. There are guilds in the same county (Orange) as Lori that have close to 300 members.

Today the Painters have arrived and are sanding the wood parts of the house. We have siding on the front, the garage and the facia on the overhang. I have towels ready to capture the water when they power wash the house so I think I am ready.

Our Guild had a sale today of Halloween and Christmas fabric. I decided I could buy small pieces for masks. They found three finished quilt tops while I was there this morning. They would be great for practicing quilting, but I am not going to bring home another project!

Tonight's dinner will be leftover Pork Chop Bake from the other night.
