It's 54* this morning but going to a sunny 72* later. I plan to get outside and do a little yard work. As little as possible and still get credit for a 'yard day'!

I've been really putting in a lot of time on my "whisk" project and it's nearly done. Yay! I have the last block, and embroidered saying, half-finished. So if I don't get it all done today, tomorrow!! Then quilt, bind, label and it's ready for Christmas. But our Christmas with our grandsons will be in about a month, so not as much time as one would think.
Bill talked to Vicki's SIL, Ben, last night. He says he has been to see Vicki and asked her about the order and she said she hasn't received anything. lol! Only because she refuses to open the door to the deputies trying to deliver it!
Our trailer still isn't fixed and parts won't be in for another 3 weeks, so I guess we're going to go pick it up today and bring it home so we can take our camping trip next week. Then when parts do arrive, we'll take it back.
CAROL - sorry your eye appt didn't go well. How often do you have to renew this new medication? Tina has had some good luck finding on-line coupons for medications for her dad. I say at 93* it's too hot to cook!!! A sandwich sounds good to me!
JANA - happy birthday to Aaron! Sounds like he could use a new truck for his gift! My youngest is almost 44. Where do these years go??? Are you almost done with your gnomes?
BECCA - my stories were ones I submitted to QIAD about growing up on a farm. They were getting ready to print their American Barns book and put out a call for submissions. On pages 85 and 91you can read all about my pet lamb, Susie, and our little pet Angus cow, Pixie. I saw Eleanor at a quilt show after that, told her I was the author of the stories, and she, the famous name, was kind enough to ask me, the no-name, to autograph her booth copy!
TINA - glad you checked in! We were starting to worry. - we're all worriers here!
Last I heard from CHICKIE they celebrated Doyal's 75th birthday, then he had a cardiac 'event', bought himself a ride to the ER, then two stents, and was out fixing fence, with Chickie's help, 2 days later. She was exposed to Covid after a visit from her sister who had the disease, so she quarantined herself for two weeks, but remained negative.
Our supper tonite is going to be grilled pork chops and while the grill is on, I'll make potato/onion packets. Salad on the side. It's still nice enough to sit out on the deck to eat supper and watch a little TV for a few hours.
