The funeral yesterday was nice. Small because of Covid, but so personal. Albert's grandson, the pastor, did an amazing job, I thought. Some folks sat in cars and listened to it over the radio! It's an amazing age. I did my speaking gig - about 10 minutes - and got through it without wetting my pants. Thank you all for being with me in spirit! I could barely see over the tall wooden podium, but with a microphone, at least they could hear me. And Bill forgot to take a picture! I must have been such a fascinating speaker that he got lost in what I was saying . . At least that's the story he's going with!

Today is a free day - nothing on the calendar. So I think I'll sew a back for my R/W/B top. I already made one back for it, but decided another fabric will look better, so I'm going to re-do it. And then I want to get it loaded onto the frame. Next week is a FULL calendar - every single day has at least 2 things scheduled: dentist, chiro, eye, massage, dermatologist, lunch with friend, happy hour with other friends, Albert's burial service, and more. Some days I feel like my world is spinning out of control!
BECCA - sounds like the twins' party was a fun sucess! How did CA do? And what was for supper? Thank you again, for sending your good thoughts with me.
JANA - I was wondering if you were getting much news coverage on the Susan Powell case - guess you were! and we were saying the same things as you. Such a sad case and we cheered when the verdict came down against the state. As you said, we know first hand how ineffective our CPS and APS folks are here. Sorry Stu is connected in any way.
LORI - funny how when one of us does something - like clean closets or make pizza or ?? - it kind of catches fire and then we all do it! Maybe one day our closets will be as clean as Tina's! haha!
I filled the crockpot with split pea soup yesterday morning and let it cook out on the deck all day yesterday. We didn't eat much last night as we had burgers at my nephew's about 3pm. But it was tasty and we'll have it again tonite, with toast or biscuits. Another nephew (Jim's son) showed up unexpectedly for the funeral yesterday, coming from Idaho so he is in town for the weekend and he may or may not stop by here today. If he does, I hope he likes split pea soup!
I have a gallon-plus of soup if any of you are hungry! . . .
