Good morning,

I'm back! Our camping trip was nice. Weather was better than predicted but still never got above 68*. Campground was huge and CROWDED! I've never seen so many kids and bikes and dogs in one place. We took a scenic drive down the coast one day (and found a few LQS's - :D ), and into the Coastal Mtns another day where we took a short hike and found a beautiful waterfall that is recorded in Lewis & Clark's journals. I got in a little bit of sewing, too. I have my Dizzy Daizy top almost finished. Next project up is Christmas swap blocks and then on to my QOV top. But first on today's agenda is laundry, then vac & mop trailer.

As we arrived at our campground I got a call from my niece. It appeared my brother was very near his end and we considered turning around even though we can't see him. The dialysis drops his BP too low to live. But he has to have the dialysis to survive. A rock and a hard place if there ever was one! But A new dr is trying a new medication that is helping with the BP and they are doing trickle dialysis. It's buying him a little more time with his family, such a precious gift. We so appreciate all the thoughts and prayers being directed our way.

We're going to have a purrfect week of weather here, I think - 70's all week long. One day may hit 80. So far we're having a cool summer, which is OK with me!

Tonight is going to be grilled chicken & potatoes on the barbie with a salad on the side. What's going to be hitting your plate (or cereal bowl :D ) tonite?

Mary, Sounds like you had a good trip. Glad Albert has a little more time to spend with his family. Funny, we had grilled chicken and potatoes on the grill with a salad last night. Were you spying on me? lol

Well I'm up extra early, because FIL was up at 0430 to get ready to go to breakfast. Bill told him 0600, but he gets confused. So we were all up at 0515. They dogs and cats are looking at us like something is wrong. I'll probably need a nap later.

I'm going to finish cutting out a "Summer Porch" quilt, and hopefully start sewing it today.

For dinner it will be Teriyaki chicken on the bbq, rice and salad.

Have a lovely day.

Good almost noon from sunny, warm SW. Pa....Only going into the 80s today and maybe a storm later but did hear the 90s are returning by mid week....

Oh Mary, glad to hear you had a nice trip even though it was crowded...I have noticed, just on the roads, it's back to getting busy as are the stores (or at least the couple I go to)....Just not much for shopping these days and do prefer to have those orders delivered to the door.....Hearing about Albert brings back memories of our Chris and his last weeks but thankfully, we were allowed to be with him...So glad his wife is with him....

Not much is happening around here...The other day, 3 new homes were delivered so I need to be nosy and take a ride around the park...They are taking out the old ones and bringing in 7 or 8 new ones...It's really fascinating to watch them come down the street pulling a home, lol.....See, doesn't take too much to amuse me....
My week is going to be kind of busy, tomorrow my ex realtor and hubby are coming back to put down more mulch and make sure all the plants are OK, Tuesday I'm having ceiling fans installed and the 2 decks/porches sealed, Wed. I need to take my car to be inspected (which once again, am over due), Thursday is bingo with my sister and not sure about Friday (maybe an outdoor lunch with the gals)....Doesn't leave much time for uglies, lol......

As for dinner, I'm thinking, light the grille, hamburger and some grilled veggies (unless I get a better offer)....

You all have a great day......

Happy eating...................

Good morning!

Mary - sounds like a nice trip, but fraught with worries. It is nice to be home again. One top down and ready for the next, just the way you roll!

Tina - we are hot too. Saw on the news that a cool front will be dropping my temps into the 80's - yea! Maybe it will swoop over you as well.

Lori - a nap is in order later! Happy to see, your FIL is able to get up and ready himself. That is a help.

Becca - what fun, getting books that last more than a m8nute!

Irish - here, when they were building my neighborhood, the after dinner walks included walking through all the new being built homes. My Ward saw my house before me, we were still in California! They all loved it. They should see it now, with the kitchen I put in, so much better than the original!

Dinner will be a late brunch, sometimes what we call "linner". We started calling it that when the kids were little. Hashbrowns and eggs. I am adding a fresh baked chocolate croissant for me - I need chocolate!

Not much else here. Skies are clouding up, looking like a thunderstorm, but I doubt it. Michael just redid the irrigation timing cycle to put more water on the yard. We were getting some crunchy spots. Made a new mask pattern and a couple of test masks. Sarah has some small round elastic for these. These new masks are for the family, so I have a few to make. I will make sure they each have at least two to start with.

Time for our church,
Stay Safe,
Hugs,
Jana
