Good morning!

I'm home, Mom! What a trip! Not too bad for us - other than really, REALLY bad weather - but disastrous for our friends from home (Tex & Annette) who joined us for the last four days we were there. You can read all about it in my sew-in post. We finally gave up and came home 4 days early to 76*. 8-) Trailer is parked and emptied. Today it will get cleaned and I have more than 2 weeks of laundry to do plus bedding and rugs. Will probably take me 2 or 3 days to get all that done. Our poor septic system! Driving home, we were just 1/4 mile out from our driveway yesterday when we saw Vicki walking along the road. She looked up, saw us, and out shot her arm, middle finger leading! It's good to be home!

I see you all were hit and miss at the table. Maybe we all lost a little weight! I know I sure could use it! I think tonite's supper will be pork chops on the grill with pasta and salad. We need to do some grocery shopping but we can manage this.

what are you managing to cobble together for your supper tonite?

Good morning!

Mary - you're home! And a welcoming party too! Hope things go well for your brother. It is trying times all around.

Started to come here earlier, but Michael saw we needed milk, so I went grocery shopping from the comfort of my recliner. The store had a pick up time early today, so that is good. I have to use my brain in remembering what I need, as I remember each store aisle and push my memory cart through the store. Then I go over the order with Michael to see what I might have missed, or any goodies he wants. He added a few.

So with that - dinner will be a cheating version of cordon bleu with a salad. Fresh sourdough bread on the side. If you get your pickup order in for after 11 am, and not too late in the day, the bakery has the fresh baked sourdough. Tastes so much like we would get on the wharf in San Francisco. A little taste of memories.

My patriotic fabric finally arrived. I think I will play with the embroidery module on my sewing machine to make something for the outside pocket. I need to see what embroidery patterns I have on my computer for this project, or go and see what else there is.

The funeral for our friend will be family only, so Daniel is not going, but sending flowers. This friend was a mentor to Daniel, in training him in being a architect. Our friend always was trying to hire Daniel, but Daniel didn't want to move back in the Bay Area. Daniel likes his country rural lifestyle.

Well, breakfast has been put off long enough, close to be brunch!

Hugs,
Jana

Good afternoon from warm, partly sunny, SW. Pa...Mother Nature is trying to decide if she might shed a few tears...If she does, I hope it's enough to water my plants....

Mary, Welcome home! And to have your own welcoming committee, life is good! I always hated emptying the suitcases but if I had to empty a whole trailer, not sure I'd be too happy.....I just got off the phone with Kathy and they are heading out tomorrow, going up the coast, of course stopping in Napa and then heading for Oregon....She is starting a new job and has a week or so off, so they thought they'd better go some where....She is now in the wedding business...She thought it was to do mostly paper work but now, it's going to be doing everything including marrying the people and driving the limo....Now, she's waiting for her official license...Let it up to Kathy to do something different.....

Not going to be able to stay and chat...I'm headed to Kevin's..I made a chicken pot pie and he's getting half of it along with sliced chicken and gravy...Then I'm stopping at my sister's and giving her some goodies....I do like to cook but find I can't eat very much so they get my left overs.....

Not sure if I'll have the pot pie for dinner or maybe something light....So far today, tummy has been behaving so want to keep it that way, lol......

Will catch up with you all later.....

Have a great day...

Happy eating............

Hi everyone!
I've been absent again.
Welcome home Mary, welcoming party and all, you rate LOL!!
We're in for another week of over 100° temps, yucky!
We lost a brother in law to the virus and his wife; Frankie's sister, has it. She lives in North Carolina and no family anywhere near. She is at home so far and has mild symptoms so far. Her husband was exposed on the 7th, in ER on the 10th and passed away on the 16th, it was fast. Any extra prayers you have for her would be greatly appreciated.
We have Jazmyne here, Adam went out of town for 3 days to a softball tournament so he's waiting on results to see if he has it. Jazmyne didn't want to go back home until she knows he doesn't have it. Makes me so mad..... just so he could play he put himself and the whole family at risk!
Our cases here are jumping 6 to 13 a day, I'm staying home.
I'm not sure what I'm making for supper.... gonna go see now.
Tina

Welcome home Mary. Sounds I think Vicki was welcoming you home saying you are number !. lol

Irish, you sure cook up some good meals. Wish I lived close to you. I'd just happen by about dinner time.

Jana, there are some really nice patriot fabrics out this year. I was just looking at some yesterday. I didn't buy any. Sorry about your friends passing.

Becca, that's great that you are doing family history. So much history gets lost because no one wrote it down or even told other about it.

Tina, sorry for you loss. Did others on the team come down with the virus?

Well I finally got to my sewing machine yesterday. I layered 5 quilts and started quilting them. 4 of them are you charity and not very big. I was able to get 2 done so far and get the binding on as well. I might do another one tonight.

For dinner I'll be making Orange chicken with rice and zucchini.

Have a lovely evening.
