SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, June 7

Good morning,
I'm having a hard time keeping track of the days. I wasn't doing so good at it when we were still at home, but sitting here in our campsite, it's even harder! Guess all we need to remember is leave Monday morning. Someone remind me!
We had a bear in camp yesterday, up in a tree about 150 feet from our trailer. People were standing watching him, not knowing that 15 feet away was a deer watching THEM! lol! We also saw a doe and newborn fawn yesterday.
We went into town yesterday. Most of the shops were closed - tough for a town that relies completely on tourism. A few restaurants offered take out. The quilt shop is gone now but we found another one a mile down the road! And yes, I spent a happy half hour in there and came out with a full bag of goodies!
BECCA - glad you liked your new PA. Bill sees one as his regular doc and he's as good as any doctor I've been to. I believe it's really important to have a doc/PA/NP that you really like and trust.
IRISH - sorry Ruby is suffering from the birdies! That's just so rude. I use hamburger in my stews - cooking it first before putting it with the veggies into a crockpot. The Grand Canyon is so amazing. And the funny part is, everyone whispers at all the overlooks. It's like a sacred place.
JANA - congrats to your menfolk for figuring out a way to do your church bulletin electronically! It's all just magic to me! lol! And I'm with you - definitely not ready to put myself in a crowd yet! I was even hesitant to gather with 2 other couples for 90 minutes last night for happy hour, but Susie, bless her heart, had a tape measure and made sure there was 6' between each couple. Keeping Michael in my thoughts
CAROL - I LOVED doing my Dear Jane. It took me 4 years as it was my winter travel sewing project when we went to Texas for two months a year, but I finally caved and finished it in a marathon of sewing at home the last year. By the time it was done I was calling it Crazy Jane. But I do love that quilt - now.
TINA - You are too hot for me! My phone weather app says you will be "cooling off" to 99* today - with wind. Guess maybe I'm grateful for our evening showers last night after all! Glad Winnie is going to be OK. But I sure don't envy you having to give a cat medicine every 12 hours! Like Irish said a few weeks back- 3 people to hold the cat down, one to run for bandages, and one to drive you to the hospital! lol!
We never got around to supper last night so I think we'll have our little pizza on the grill tonite instead. I have turkey pepperoni and black olives - my favorite!
What's your supper plan looking like?
