Good morning,

Yesterday was primarily a DRY day! Whoo Hoo!! And today should be mostly dry, too. But our high will only be 39*. My phone weather app shows a snowflake on almost every day next week and no temps above freezing. So we went out and picked up a few extra groceries yesterday just in case we do have a big snow.

Otherwise, I spent the day in my sewing room. I fused my 9 bunnies to background blocks then set them aside to work on my sample Spring Swap block. I'm not quite happy with it yet so I'll tweak it some more today. When I'm happy, I'll go into production.

Yesterday, talking jammies, I also have an oversized tee shirt I sometimes wear in the evenings with black cropped jammie pants. I found it in a thrift shop and it has Tony the Tiger on it. You may remember (or not) last spring when we had RV guests who stayed here for almost 3 weeks. So we would lounge around in the evenings, watching TV or visiting and I often wore my tiger shirt. At first, friend Rick, gave me an odd look. It wasn't until long after they left that I finally took a good look at Tony and realized he wasn't Tony the Tiger but a look-alike Tiger that was saying "Hey, Tiger!" and giving a come hither look! lol! Did I mention that Rick is a retired minister??

TINA - we have a safe with a file drawer where we keep important documents in case of fire or a Frankie raid! lol! But you might start cleaning those files yourself when he's not looking. He'll think you did it FOR him instead of BECAUSE of him and thank you for it. And you can rest easy that important papers won't get tossed.

LORI - even sick, you are productive! Glad you are feeling better. Please pass those lemon bars!! YUM!
Nice to have clean doggies! Sadly, we don't. Scottie's sheltie coat is long and requires quite the comb-out when we bathe him, plus we trim his "pants" and "feathers". None of us have felt up to that over the holidays! He HATES any kind of washing, combing, clipping. Occasionally we take him to the groomer but he's $90 because he's a fancy dog so we wait until they have sales. I only pay $25 for my own haircuts!

JANA - how did court go for Aaron in the Case of the Demented Truck Driver? Your Kimberbell pattern sounds interesting. Did it come with more seasonal patterns or do you have to buy extras if you want to change the cover? Hope your weather hasn't been too rough.

BECKY - I think our recipe is cooked ground beef and onion mixed with baked beans or pork'n'beans. Put into a casserole and top with tater tots. There was probably some cheese in there somewhere, too. Kids loved it.

BECCA - Bill swings both ways when it comes to purging. Some things he keeps for no reason I can see, and other things he just tosses, billy nilly! I never know what he's going to do whether it's files he's cleaning out or the garage.

IRISH - I see the national weather reports have you about 11*!! Brrrr!! How old is your house? I was thinking you built it when you moved out of The Big House. What is the house like that is across from your sister? I think you said it has a basement but is otherwise one floor. How many bedrooms? Nice kitchen? You don't want too many bathrooms to clean!! My friend has FOUR bathrooms and seems to be always scrubbing toilets! lol!

I think tonite will be stir fry at our house. Or fajitas. We've got a lot of fresh veggies that need eating up. I will prep them all early in the day so I can just dump them into the big fry pan tonite.

What will you be eating up tonite?

Good morning everyone!
It is cloudy and dreary here. Supposed to rain today, then really, really rain tomorrow. JR says we have flash flood warnings for tomorrow, then sleet tomorrow night, and possibly snow on Saturday....and it was around 50 degrees this morning.....Not sure what kind of wacky weather Mother Nature is trying out, but it is confusing.....
Mary, your night shirts are sure more interesting than mine! Too funny. Some of my bunch would maybe eat your casserole, but at least two wouldn't.....they don't really like stuff mixed at all. I have one that when we have spaghetti, he doesn't even eat the sauce! He just likes parmesan cheese on plain noodles. And the potato soup last night, he picked all the carrots and celery out.....and he likes cooked carrots....just never know....
And this same guy, last night, asked why we couldn't just have hamburgers and fries....so, I guess that is dinner tonight! Easy Peasy......
You all have a great day, I think I am taking the day off and will be sewing.....want to get further on my blocks in case I have to clean off the dining room table this weekend.....Becky

Good morning!

Mary - Aaron's testmony was postponed, again! The guy wasn't feeling well - uggh! I wouldn't feel well either with all the charges pending, including criminal neliegence. The State Attorney General has weighed in on this case too. So we will see when the next scheduled date comes up. Funny about that t-shirt! My brain will skim over things that look similar, better pay closer attention here, who knows what kind of trouble I could get into!

Our Thursday class starts again tonight. So that means, dinner out! We will pick up something and bring it home. Too cold to stay out to munch food!

We are cold here. No flakes today, but more tomorrow.

Not much else here.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning! We are about to be blown away here! We pretty much have Becky’s forecast in the next few days—wind and rain followed by freezing and snow. UGH!!!

Mary—your T-shirt is a hoot! I have to be careful, too. The eyes see what they want to see, not always what they need to see!

We have one of those fire safe boxes. They definitely work! The documents in it survived the fire although some had some brownish edges where they got really hot, just no air to combust.

Irish—your temps are way too low!!! I’m sure we will be having our share of them in the next couple of months.

Becky—DH will eat anything that doesn’t eat him first if it’s a critter. However, he hates pot roast with brown gravy. When he was a little kid he ran away from home rather than eat brown gravy. I think it’s wonderful, myself! He also doesn’t like Mexican food, Italian food, or pizza with red sauce. He doesn’t like any tomatoes or tomato-based sauces. But, he will eat rabbit, squirrel, beaver, deer… UGH!!!

Yesterday I finished quilting my SIL’s quilt! I am going to do the binding today. I just hope she doesn’t look at it too closely.

Dinner tonight—DH has some steak, and I think I’ll have a salad.

Bon appétit!

Good morning!
Mary, your jammie shirt stories crack me up. I'll pass on doing the filling cabinet on my own LOL I already have tons to do 🤣😂
Becky, when I was younger I didn't like my food touching either, I've only gotten better since our kids left home.... Holly didn't like a lot of things like onions, no cooked fruit at all, she's one that doesn't like meat sauce on her spaghetti, no cooked veggies in things etc.
Jana, I hope that guy gets a stiff sentence.
Becca, I love going through old pics! I used to be obsessed with scrap booking, I haven't had time since watching the grands and quilting took top booking but I hope I'll get back to it.
Chickie, from what I've seen of the quilt it's absolutely gorgeous! I just hope she appreciates it!
Irish, brrrrr you are too cold! I hope your house switch up turns out for you.
My roasted veggies were really yummy! I had asparagus, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, diced sweet potatoes, red- yellow&orange bell peppers and a purple onion..... and I took 1 London Broil steak and cut it into 3's and we each had a little steak and a bunch of veggies! I have leftover veggies to go with some chicken for lunch today.
Since I have more bell peppers, jalapenos and onions thinks I'll make fajitas for supper and I have avocados and tomatoes to go with too.
Tina

I finished the wall quilt, and Tina kindly posted pics for me in Photos. Thank you again, Tina!
