Boy, did Christmas come and go fast this year! Seems we were just starting to talk about the Secret Santa here - last AUGUST! and now we're coming up on 2020! I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. We exchanged a few gifts, made a nice breakfast, then went to friends for Brunch about 1:00. Met a new couple there that we liked a lot. We came home late afternoon, played a new game Santa put in my stocking, and then watched Scrooged with Bill Murray. It was an early night for us. This morning is Bill's REAL Christmas - the RV shelter that he has wanted for 20 years is arriving today and he won't even have to build it. A crew to do that comes with the shelter and it will be all complete by end of business today. If not, they will return tomorrow morning to finish it. They say it takes 6 hours to build it. This will give Vicki something to watch today.
JANA - I bet Lila was a cutie, cruising around yesterday clutching her new doll in one hand and Sandee's gift in the other! (What was in the gift when she finally got to open it?) Those popovers of yours must be delicious!!
LORI - Your day sounds purrfect - time with the kids, games, and lasagna! My idea of a good Christmas! As for my Scrappy Star, it's only one block I screwed up. The blocks are each composed of four pieced quarters divide by 1-1/2" strips (UNFINISHED) with a little star in the center made by snowballing the strips. I accidentally made two extra quarters so my new block is already half finished. But I do need to do some frogging. But I will never be happy with the quilt if I don't do it. And if I throw it into the closet it will be there, taking up valuable real estate and not on my neighbor's RV bed where it belongs.
We came home from brunch yesterday stuffed so we didn't make our ham supper after all. I had leftover chicken noodle soup and Bill just wanted toast. So tonite's supper will be the ham with sweet potatoes - and something green - but not salad since all our lettuce is romaine from Salinas and there's been another e-coli outbreak and lettuce recall. Getting tired of this, but if you saw the fields, the workers, and the outhouses in the fields, you wouldn't be surprised.
So what's going on your plate (or in your bowl?) tonite?
