Good morning,

I was wide awake at 0300 this morning, laid in bed another half hour until everything was good and achy and finally got up. The fur babies were happy to get up with me and have an early breakfast but they've gone back to bed now. Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday morning. Thanks to Tina for getting us started. I did come by around noon, wrote out my post and hit SUBMIT. But found it still sitting here this morning, waiting for me to hit SUBMIT a second time. My bad.

We've got the whole house cleaned, and the laundry done. Today I need to get the quilting room organized but that's the only thing on my docket for the day besides a chiro appt. The quilting room is where all the extra quilts are stored, Christmas dishes, Nativity sets, and purchased gifts. Now I need to put the everyday quilts away for the season and bring out all the gifts, wrap, and get organized. I think we're done shopping but I want to double check our lists. Our dinner party went well last night and dinner turned out pretty good! I think everyone had a good time. And there's plenty of leftovers for tonite.

TINA - I'm glad the doctor found no sign of anything dire. But all the same, heat stroke can be serious. I can't take the heat at all. I've been in Alaska when it's 45 Below and I've been in 108* with no A/C. I'll take the 45 below, thank you!

JANA - I really appreciate all the hints, tips, and info from Sarah. I'll be starting my pizza sauce experimentation very soon. Maybe even today.

BECCA - How long will Denise and Mark be staying when they come for TG. It will be nice to have them there.

IRISH - Kathy and Kevin retiring the same day?! Party time!

CHICKIE - so frustrating when the staff in dr's offices neglect THEIR JOBS and don't forward records to the next doctor forcing you to have to go back for another appt. It happens here, too.

CAROLE with an e - What did you say your TG plans were? It's early and I haven't had my coffee yet. Out with friends? or friends to your house?

No cooking here tonite. We have plenty of leftovers so we'll be eating ziti, salad, and garlic bread.

Good Morning Mary,

We are going out to dinner on Thanksgiving with Joe and Darlene. They will be leaving on the 17th to go to their DD for the holidays and to check out the situation for rentals or buying a place. They are staying almost a month.

I have been up since 2:30 am. If I happen to wake up early that is it, I am up for the day. Ugh!!! This morning I am going over to Darlene's house to help her understand the design repositioning on our embroidery machine. She is really stuck, so I will go over there and see what she is doing that she can't get it right. Lol

Well I am off to get a cuppa. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,

Carole ( yup, there is indeed an e)

Good morning! We are cold, blustery, rainy, drizzly, and may even have snow showers today. It’s a perfect day to stay inside! We didn’t get Mom’s bath yesterday; she didn’t feel up to it. So, we will get it done tomorrow.

In between all the running I got my overdue oil change. My BIL picked Odie and me up at the garage, and I did Mom care while they took a break. When the oil change was finished, Odie and I walked back to the garage. It was probably only 8 or 10 blocks. The weather was in the 40s, but I had a light jacket and gloves. We stepped right along and didn’t notice the wind or chill.

Jana—I apologize; I missed you yesterday. It’s definitely difficult to watch a long life dwindle down to the end. I know it’s equally hard for her to endure the indignity of it all as well.

We were surprised at the doc appoint yesterday that the referring doc hadn’t forwarded the CT scan results to the new doc. He comes to an office there in the local hospital… is it that difficult! So, more tests, an ultrasound and another appointment coming up.

Mary—I have to hit “submit” a couple of times as well. It is frustrating when I forget and can’t find my post. Sounds like a fun evening and NO cooking tonight!

Carole—There’s no way I could function at that time! There is only one 2:30 time in a day, and it’s not dark outside. Good luck with the embroidery machine.

Becca—we definitely live on the funny farm here! Yesterday DH left the gate open because the cows were “nowhere around.” Guess who was rounding up cows from the front yard, and DH was nowhere around! I cost me half a bag of apples to lure my girls back in the pasture! I think they are spoiled! I know one cow comes out and just begs for treats. I need to get a bag of range cubes at the feed store. They are cheaper than apples. Greek salad sounds yummy!

Tina—if it’s heat exhaustion, do be careful! It makes you really sensitive after the first time.

DH is back for brunch. Dinner tonight will be steak for him, soup for me.

Bon appétit!

Good morning!

The valley is covered in snow clouds and a few, very few flakes falling. Cold too!
I did my public service announcement over in sew ins.

Not much here. I am being technical advisor to Sarah. There is a extra at Disneyland, for little girls, that Disney does a dress up of their favorite princess. Crenda signed up Emma for this fun princess. The little girls wear the costume the whole day. Our little Emma is bigger in size than the costumes Disneyland has. So Sarah to the rescue and we are designing a Princess Jazmyne costume for Emma. It is taking a bit of a challenge to kit bash patterns, so Sarah comes over to question me, if she is right. She usually is, but wants the backup. Sarah and I fully understand about things not fitting, Emma is now benefitting from years of adjusting patterns! Matt and family are going to Disneyland and Universal Studios, the week between Christmas and New Year's. They will be in Disneyland on New Year's Eve. Oh did Matt moan about the cost! I just smile and remind him, he is well paid!

Dinner - there is a fabulous cat food truck that will be here in Herriman today. Their cat food and chips are heavenly! That will be dinner. The truck is called Off the Hook.

Mary - I need a quilt room! Or even the system to hang the quilts on the wall. Some I do want to show off. My wall is the big tall wall at the stair landing in the middle of the house.

Carol"e" - the little square with the pencil looking icon is how to edit your post. Easy to do.

Becca - that wil be a good visit with the kids. Let them spoil you!

Chickie - I saw a news article about a camel, donkey and cow that got loose on a country road - first thought was your area! Are you missing some?

Well, Aaron just dropped off a pair of slacks he needs in a couple of hours. The wedding of the last bridezilla is tomorrow. There is a bunch of family stuff he needs them for tonight, as well as tomorrow. Off to hem. Oh, we did get a invitation, but shucky darn, we are busy tomorrow and will miss the reception. :D

Enjoy,
Jana
