We've got rain! Lots of it! And it will be here for a solid week. Good sewing weather!
Yesterday I got my quilt quilted! Wish I could figure out pictures on the new forum, but so far, haven't been able to do that. I finished the quilt only minutes before we had to leave for HH with our friends. I had only about 30 minutes of stitching left to do on it when I accidentally threw my machine out of time - I plunged the needle through the platform that has to be used for ruler work. Arghh! Took Bill an hour to fix it but now it sews better than it did before! I told Bill, "I fixed it!" He allowed that maybe it was a 'team effort'.

Today is chiropracotor. I'm thinking I may wimp out on my morning walk because of the rain unless it lets up for a while. I'd have a very wet, long haired dog wanting up on my couch when I got back! I need to go shopping for a birthday gift for my sister and then I want to get the binding on my quilt. Tonite our DGS is coming by to pick up our big cat tree that Foxy really never used much, and he wants to take us out to dinner. So we think we'll go to the Blazin' Onion, a burger emporium.
CHICKIE - I can't believe you have to jump through all those hoops to get your 'real' license! Do you have a passport? That makes everything so much easier. And I'm not as organized as I sound. One look at my living room with all the Christmas stuff all over it and you'd laugh!
BECCA - I don't think distance makes any difference in the cost of postage. It's all about size and weight. Unless you use the Priority boxes. My boxes to my sisters will cost me from $25 to $35 each. My older sister has an RV so sometimes we just load up gifts and celebrate Christmas wherever and whenever we happen to meet up! I hope your CA is feeling a little better today. Diverticulitis can be particularly painful. Did you get the pictures I e-mailed you?
TINA - Your weekend should have earned you double-time and a half!! lol! Oh, I hope Frankie takes the golf course job. Sounds like it might be purrfect! Is he going to start drawing SS in Jan, did you say?
JANA - I bet Ethan is tingling with excitement - or would be if he knew what was happening. I see fires and quakes in old "Jana-land". If you ever had any doubts about moving, I bet they're gone now!
So we're going out again tonite - on our grandson's dime. Seems wrong, but he wants to do this so we're not going to argue. He turned 26 last Sunday, has owned his own home for 3 yrs and has a good job. Now if we can just find him a sweet girl. . . . . He says that's his next life goal. lol!
How are things looking on your plate for tonite?
