SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Oct 15

Good morning!
This will be our last dry day before the rains come later this evening. We have a series of 'systems' moving in off the Pacific. And heads up! They will be moving east after they are done with us. I think Across The Road Lori and I will do a long walk this morning to make sure we get in all the exercise we can before the rain! Yesterday I worked mostly on my quilt - got it almost half quilted. Not thrilled with the result, but it is what it is. Today will be more of that, hoping to finish it either today or tomorrow so Bill can get my SIL's quilt on the frame. She should be here in probably less than a week. We want to have it done for her to pick up and take back to Las Vegas with her. I'm meeting a friend for coffee at 10am and then our happy hour friends at 4pm for HH and early light supper at Mexican restaurant.
Yesterday we went to our local city hall to file for civil restraining order against Vicki just as the deputies advised us. But there we were told we had to go to the County City building in downtown Tacoma. Sigh. Nothing is ever easy. The hardest part will be finding a place to park! So we're doing that on Thursday when we have to go to Tacoma anyway to have the truck serviced. Not looking forward to this. Making me a little sick to my stomach, actually.
JANA - we love homemade pizza here! That will be on our menu again soon. What kind did you make?
BECCA - I cringe at the cost of postage, too, but when it comes to Christmas I still mail packages. That's really too bad about your dentist closing up shop for the day and not calling you. And for that to happen twice to you and CA really isn't acceptable! I wonder what the deal was! He deserves a bad Yelp rating!
IRISH - you really had an adventure with your bread machine yesterday! But I'm sure the results smelled heavenly and the birds were disappointed. That's how things happen around here - I go into a room for something (which I always forget what is!) and come out a few hours later having done something completely off the wall! Two days ago I went to get out my fall quilts and ended up cleaning that big closet! And then had to go back in to get those quilts! lol! Got to keep the cats alert! Judi and her hubby are talking about going to FL in Feb, too. Wouldn't it be fun if you were going to the same place?!
LORI - well, we did change the wine and we changed the spaghetti, too. I made baked spaghetti. The problem is, now I have leftovers of THAT! Argh!
TINA - you've really had a busy, busy few days!! Hope you are feeling better today.
Since we're meeting our friends, Gus & Claudia, for happy hour at the Mexican restaurant, there will be no cooking here. I can live with that! Actually, we were supposed to go last night (I forgot when I told y'all we were having spaghetti) but Gus has been sick with salmonella for more than two months, thought he was feeling better, and then they called to say he had a 'minor setback' and asked for raincheck. We'll see how it goes tonite. . . . Our oldest grandson is coming over tomorrow night and wants to take us out so no cooking or leftovers then either!
