Good morning!
We are to be cool and off/on rainy today. I can dig it because in 3 days we're going into a long stretch of warm & sunny days. I want to stock up on my rain!
Yesterday I did everything on my to-do list, had a spare hour and played with scraps in my sewing room. But to be honest, I made sure my list wasn't a very long list! lol! Today's list is even shorter. Chiropractor and a couple quick errands. I might fix backings for the two quilt tops I assembled from already-made blocks.
UPDATE on Chickie - she is getting her mom-sitting gig cut short. Her sister is coming home early as their vacation plans were changed a bit. So she should be back home again today or tomorrow. She has had Odie with her at Mom's but I know Doyle and the other Hooligans will be ecstatic to have Mom home again!
JANA - glad to hear you didn't have a new baby while I was gone! I almost have all your family's names in my head now. It's like naming the Seven Dwarfs - Stuart, Andrew, Logan, Ethan, Karlie, Emma, and Lila. How did I do? But Scott threw me! lol! My mom's first name was Marie. One of my favorite names! Glad the bench will work out. I was expecting it to arrive assembled, too, if that makes you feel any better.
TINA - sorry about Frankie's auntie. I hope he's OK at hearing the news. Was she local? Why do you have Jaz if school has started? And yes, fish in potato salad goes against ALL rules of cooking! But in her defense, my ceramics teacher grew up in East Germany during the War, was starving, had to eat the neighbor's cat to survive, and escaped by climbing over the wall one night. She probably learned to cook whatever was cookable. (I hope she didn't put the cat in potato salad!)
IRISH - you have had a rollicking busy time this month in your family! A lot of name repeats, too. At least, when you are calling for someone, and keep calling that person by other people's names (in our family, even the dog's name!) there are fewer names to go through! In our family, 4 of the 6 of us go by names other than our first name. Gets confusing for new folks when they join our family. And as for traipsing around, I say traipse while the traipsing is good! Go!! Smell the flowers! Have fun with your sis, friends, and Kathy. It will give you something to talk about with Jim.
BECCA - I love that you have a bird nesting in your hanging plant. Last year we had a bird's nest in our FAKE hanging plant on our deck! lol! We never had to disturb her with watering. We also had one in the silk wreath on our front door a few years ago.
Our chicken soup last night was great. Bill loved it. As things go with soup, there is a pot of leftovers so we'll be working on that for a few days.
How are things looking for your dinner plans?
