Supper club -Wed June 26

Good morning. I’m starting to lose track of the dates but I think this is right. June 26.
Irish, maybe you and your sister and some of your Partners in crime should consider an Alaskan cruise. You know, you would have a place to stay near Seattle and transport to/from the ships/airport.
Tina, so sorry about your chickens. Growing up on a farm, that’s kind of how it goes. Farmers often shoot dogs that kill their livestock, be they chickens, lambs, cows and more.
Becca, seems you always have one or more family around. Your family are true blessings. Hope things are improving at your house so you can enjoy their visits.
Jana, getting things squared away financially can always be a headache but what a relief to have it all done.
Chickie, Doyal’s family is always fun! When you say you might do it next year do you mean make more jam because you are almost out. Or host the reunion?
We are in Soldotna, about 100 miles south.l of Anchorage. About 20 miles north of us a wild fire is burning. 35,000+ acres so far. We drove through thick smoke for a few miles yesterday but other than that it hasn’t affected us. Winds are carrying smoke north towards Anchorage. Found a quilt shop yesterday-a new one! And will go visit One of the old well established shops this afternoon. We will be here another night before moving further south where we will park right on the beach for a couple nights. We will be able to watch rubber-tired tractors launching fishing boats right into the surf. fascinating! When the boats come in at the end of the day they radio And the tractors back trailers out into the surf and the boat runs right up onto them. They have it down to a pretty close science . From that campsite we will take a day trip further south to Homer. Then we will make “the turn“ and start the homeward bound portion of our trip.
As for supper tonight, I made a pizza last night so we will have the leftovers and a salad tonight. Will just be warming it up in the oven, no cooking required! Much of our camping is without power so I will be using the oven rather than the microwave
