Good Tuesday morning! I think I’ve tried to get here for several days with no success. Those darn interruptions! Plus, I see “shiny things” and my attention span is gone…
Irish—sounds like you had a wonderful time!!! What fun for you and Kathy to have Lena all to yourselves! Now you are kitty spoiling and Nick is coming back—life is good! So, you have been having our storms. They keep being forecast but seem to go around us or don’t develop. Not complaining!
Jana—I need to get some more ribs! Macaroni salad is perfect with them. Sounds like you had a great Father’s Day at your house, too!
Becca—and, you had a super day, too! We had a Fat ‘n Happy over by Joplin when I lived there. They had the BEST burgers I ever ate! They were huge—they made about 4 meals for me, but oh, so good!
MaryZ—sounds like you are busy cooking, cleaning, visiting… Know your DB sure appreciates all you are doing for him! It’s so hard to watch a loved one decline, and especially when AZ takes over their brain.
We had a delightful Father’s Day here as well. DDIL had brunch at their house, and all DH’s three sons were there. I made some blackberry muffins to take, even though DDIL said I didn’t need to make anything. I didn’t have but a couple muffins leftover.
Yesterday was dog walking and back to my usual grind. I’ll be doing Mom on Thursday afternoon, Friday afternoon and evening and again on Saturday. Meanwhile, I am in my sewing room working on the strawberry kitchen ensemble for my friend. I’m hoping to receive the second packet of genealogy any day.
Dinner tonight—I think I’ll thaw out some burger for DH. I still have some soup to clean up.
Bon appétit!
