Good morning! I can’t believe I might be first to the table! Everyone must be busy, too. I was at Mom’s on Saturday, then grocery shopping, weeding the flowers, and just got busy. Yesterday was brunch, and back to town to take care of Mom while my sister was gone all afternoon. Today I’m home. Tomorrow I have to get up at zero dark-thirty and be in to take care of Mom all day while they go to Kansas City.
So, not much else has been going on here. We manage to eat. Tonight will be smoked fish salad that I scoop into poblano peppers and bake. DH eats the “innards” with crackers like a hot dip, and I get the peppers as well as the smoked fish. A salad on the side completes the meal.
Lori—I eat the cherries fresh, too. That’s why it takes so long to pick and pit them… one for my mouth, one for the bucket, one for my mouth… one for my mouth, one for the pie or jam… etc. My jam turned out the best I’ve ever made. I was so pleased!
Jana—I hate to have to cook after I’ve cleaned my stove, too! I’m such a slob when I cook, everything is a mess and needs done again. Sounds like you had lots of wedding cake on your menu Saturday. DH would have loved it!!!
Becca-- hope CA feels better! The work never ends around here, either—laundry, cooking, cleaning… For two people, we sure make a lot of messes!
We have a family reunion to go to later this month. I may have told you earlier… usually I take a couple of big blackberry cobblers for the dessert table, but this year I just made blackberry and cherry jams, and the families can grab a jar to take home with them. There are always plenty of desserts. I will take a big green salad. They order in pizza.
I’m going to try to get a few things accomplished here today since I won’t be home tomorrow.

OMG! This was crazy! Every time I tried to post, I got a big error message and nothing showed up in the Chit Chat thread. I left and came back, and all the error messages had posted. What a headache! Sorry about all the strange posts!

We had a busy morning.CA had to have lab done.While there he had one of his weal spells.I was glad to get him home.We had so many stops but I do them & he waits.
Thought I was going to need a wheelchair.They give us one at Dr when it happened.He has one but I didn’t take it .Usually he can make it to 1 stop.
Got home & took my walk.Helps me get relaxed.We stopped at Subway so it will be lite here tonite.Have a great day everyone. Becca

Those jams will be the hit of the reunion!
Becca - hope CA spells subside and he is able to get around.
Well, our Ethan can now ride a bike with no training wheels. He succeeded in Moab this last camping trip. He is so excited - announced that riding a bike is the best thing ever! He has set a goal that he can ride to Grandma's by the end of summer. But first, the sidewalks and road paving needs to be finished. His route here goes through a new neighborhood they are building at the end of the street here. It is a mile between his house and mine, so not too far.
Dinner - well, those chicken enchiladas had been pushed back, so tonight they will appear. Also, gave in and did the uglies staring at me. Michael is out mowing the grass, since we have finally dried out.
