Good morning!
Got all our errands done yesterday. Whew! I even had to give Scottie his Lepto shot myself! Couldn't get an appt so they just sold me the vaccine instead. The Police were VERY grateful for the quilts. When we get home from AK I have 3 more tops ready for quilting that I'll give them, plus maybe I'll get a few tops put together while we're gone. I'm taking 3 sets of swap blocks with me to work on. I also got a lot of things stowed in the trailer. Never got to Bill's outside storage. The day was too chilly and damp for that. Today, perhaps.
JANA - the trek sounds like a lot of fun (and work!) with lifetime memories. You have a recipe of Bill's? Hmmmm.... I'm going to have to get him to make that for us, too, one day! I'd forgotten about that!
BECCA - What wonderful gifts you gave Avery! I still remember a paint set I got when I was little. I LOVED it! And who doesn't love Play-doh - it even smells like fun! But I would have killed for those ballet shoes! What a purrfect gramma you are!!
CHICKIE - I hope Mom takes a lot of naps while you are staying with her so you can chat with us and maybe even sew a little! Your Hooligans will really miss you for sure! And probably Doyal, too. Who's going to feed him?
Well, I'm guessing tonite is going to be chicken of some sort - or maybe tacos. Bill really loves tacos and we have all the makings. So yep - taco's it is!
What's it going to be at your house?

Good morning!
Mary - many moons ago, you posted Bill's recipe on here and the one thing I can do on a computer is copy and paste. I did that and moved it to my recipes. My mids all do durch oven cooking. They love it!
Well, my day is fairly quiet, a couple of dances with Mr Samsung. Michael is fussing with the big barn door on the Batt Cave outhouse. It took a warp, so he is training it back into place. Also he is putting the tags on the cars - the registrations ran out last month - we got the new tags and we promptly put them down here in the house and they remained lost until yesterday. So he went through every stack of papers on his desks, still didn't find them and we were about to head over to DMV, when he finally moved a picture and voille - there they were. He was a bit grouchy at me for putting a picture on top of them, but he is better now!
Dinner - still in the bullpen, waiting on me to decide which to bring in.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning from the soggy plains! We either have too much or too little rain, and now it’s too much! The pond is FULL—running out the spillway pipe, over the dam and over the fishing dock! It’s even in the fire pit at the edge of the pond. I know the cows are miserable. It’s supposed to clear and stop raining today after noon.
Fortunately, we didn’t have tornadoes or too much wind—mainly rain. My DD had to go to the basement at her work, and her family at home to the basement, as there was a tornado very close to them. All is good with them and their storage businesses and house.
DH came home for brunch, and now he has gone to check the cows and calves. Hopefully, all will be o.k.
MaryZ—I’m hoping to fix something that DH can eat on for several days and maybe get a chance to come and fix more. He may be relegated to sandwiches—made by him! I know the Hooligans will miss me! Odie will come along, and he can play with my sister’s dog. (I’ll be babysitting their dog as well as Mom.) I need to figure out what I’ll take to work on while I’m there. It may just be some embroidery, a pincushion kit and some books. I’ll be cooking and staying busy. My neighbor is going to help me with my dog walking jobs out here. My friend will come in and help with baths.
So glad the police were delighted with your quilts! I know they will provide a hug when needed in a crisis—same with Becca’s bears! Nothing like a teddy bear to bring a smile to a child.
Jana—we get those little stickers each year for our tags as well. They are easy to get misplaced.
Becca—I really enjoyed reading about Avery and her gifts! How exciting for them with that trip!
Dinner tonight… I’m not sure. I may thing about chilies relleños casserole and uses some pulled pork with it. Or, it might be enchiladas using the same.
Yesterday I quilted a table runner I’d made before all this craziness hit. I’m going to send it to a friend who is checking into my genealogy. I’ve always hit dead ends, and she offered to do some research and was successful. I’m going in there now and pull something out to work on…
Stay dry!!! I’m thinking of turning on the heater. It’s chilly in the house, and it’s dreary and damp outside. It doesn’t make me happy to be cold and damp. I just want to sleep until the sun comes out! Hope you find the sun!

Good afternoon from a warm, partly sunny, sort of dreary, SW. Pa...
I think I'm back but that normal part will never be the same...But, 1st, I really do want to give you all a big thanks and wish I could give you all a hug, personally....A lot has happened and there are times when you really do wonder how you're going to make it but you dear gals help pull me up that hill and I'll be forever thank full....
It's been a rough time and I still can't believe "my Cindy" is gone...When the phone rings during the day, I expect it to be her, "just checking in, Mom", which she did every day...Kevin is back to work, had planned on retiring next month but, said he'll probably keep working for awhile...Our oldest son, Jim, had lost his wife very similar and is a huge comfort to Kevin right now...When Chris passed, the 2 of them seemed to hold each other up....But, once again, we're strong, we'll make it through.....
Kathy and Tim flew home on Sunday and the house is quiet...We had all gotten together Sat. night at Terry and Theresa's and everyone shared a few stories...
But, Kathy will be back on the 7th of June...She's going to be baby sitting for Cari that week (her DMIL who watches Lena will be away)..Then the following weekend, Cari, DH and Lena are coming to Grammy's..They have a wedding and we also have a big breakfast/birthday planned plus everyone will get to see Lena Rose!
AND then Kathy and Tim will be back in July for her DD's July 13 wedding....There's a lot happening this summer and then before we know it, summer will be over.....
Didn't mean to go on and on...Really wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate your prayers, thoughts and all those hugs.....
Know I wouldn't make it without you all......
Have a great rest of the day......
