Good morning,

I got my jam made yesterday - 2 batches for 10 pints. I tasted it and I think it's going to be good! Gene will be happy. I also got 9 lap quilts packed into large Ziplocks to take to the police department tomorrow. After that I sorted, washed, and put away my summer clothes, and finally an odd job - A few months ago my DD who is moving to East Coast brought me all her gift wrap, bags, tags, tissue, etc. So I put it with ours, organized it all into two large, flat totes - one for Christmas and one for "other". My stuff was stashed here and there in 3 different rooms. Now I've got it all together in one place (under my quilting frame!). I'll probably never use it all!

It was a busy day with two trips out in opposite directions for errands. We went to Costco, but decided it was too warm to leave Scottie in the car so I just popped in, picked up my new Rx sunglasses, and we came home. We planned to go back today to shop but learned today is a clinic at Petco and Scottie needs a Bordatella immunization. And it's right next to Costco and will still be too warm to leave him in the car so I guess we'll do our shopping Monday and leave him at home. Our friends received their fox quilt and loved it! They said it's going into the trailer their next trip out which will be soon. It gave them something to smile about after losing their sweet dog.

Today - I'm not sure. Tina says her Christmas swap is filling fast. I made 17 blocks but it looks like we're going to be a full swap so I might start 3 more blocks today. Plus I have a bit of ironing to do. No big projects planned for today (that I know of yet). Bill finished his work in the trailer so I might go out and see how he put my pantry, cabinets, and drawers back together. It's always fun to see how things get changed around after he's been out there, unsupervised . . .

SHIRLEY MAE - garage sales are a lot of work and very tiring. I'd close down after 2 days, too! Prayers for Rod. My brother lived from dr. appt to dr. appt and in between the dr. appts there were always tests and procedures. He hated it! But it's better than the alternative.

BECCA - I know you, too, are very familiar with the doctoring routine. Where will your bears be going once their tummies are stitched up? I see where you had your first sighting on the "Great NC Bear Highway", aka, your yard. I think you live in a wonderful place!

JANA - I think we all dislike funerals, but they do serve a purpose. When my BFF's mother died 40 yrs ago, there was no service to say goodbye. She says she still feels like she was left hanging. So nice of Crenda to host that baby shower. What is the baby quilt like that you will be making?

In other news - IRISH is still busy with family and all the things that need to be done there. Helping her son sort through his wife's things, etc. I believe Kathy & Tim fly back to NV today. TINA is occupied with the grands, Dad, and her yard but also with getting her new Christmas swap up and running. And CHICKIE - who needs a mini-chickie in the best of times, found out her sister and BIL are planning a 3-week trip in July and this puts Chickie on deck to spend those weeks with of mom who can no longer be left alone.

Supper tonite - I'm going to fry up onions, cabbage, bacon bits, and leftover noodles in a one-dish meal. I might toss in some peas, too. We'll see what happens, but it's what I have that needs to be eaten up. We may end up ordering a pizza! lol! Tomorrow - new food!

Have you got a supper plan yet?

Hello Maryz & those who join us.Beautiful day here.
I went outside to look at my Flowers & rang my bell while there.lol

Maryz I give my DGD & Denise both wrappings ,tags & bows & still have a drawer full.
Yes The bears are out & about. If our 3 neighbors didn’t feed them we wouldn’t have them.We never saw a bear except twice in 30 yrs until they moved in.
I give my bears to our Sheriffs Dept & Police Dept. They seem appreciative. And they also have toys for tots they sponsor.

Chickie You sure need a mini Chickie as Maryz says. But I’m sure you’re glad to do it.Thinking of you.

Irish Thinking of you & Family Too.

Jana I read about the pioneer trek.Never heard of that.Thats a big crowd to cook for.

Our DS Marty is coming up to work here for a few days.Something he promised a customer he would build a deck for her & other things she needs done.Hes bringing us his stove & dishwasher that was in his house. Its stainless steel & like new so we took it.He bought all new appliances. Will have to clean out my stove drawer.

I’m making chicken tenders. And black eyed peas & spinach for me. Becca

Good morning!

Mary - those quilts will be well loved by those officers. I have thought to do the same with Aaron, now he has his own truck. Before, he shared the vehicle, it nows lives just at his house. What size did you make?

Dinner is in crockpot. I needed a big pot roast, since Sarah invited herself as well. I don't mind, as her DH was let go from the company he worked for. A vendor cancelled the contract for the programming Joseph was working on. He received a nice severance package that will help. He also has gotten several interviews for companies here. So, since Aaron and Kate are past their struggles with income, we can now help out Sarah when needed.

The little baby quilt is a solid panel of fabric with cute elephants on it and around that is a border of Seminole patchwork, lavendars, yellows, pinks and I think a green, all pastels. It is folded up in a basket, but I know right where it is! So I will continue tracing my Santa pieces for Tina's swap and get this one on the LA. I thought I had enough for the swap with tracing for 16, now will finish it out to 20.

Enjoy!

Hugs and prayers for our Irish, and the rest of us too!

Jana
