Good morning!
Well, it was "the beginning of morning" when I sat down at the computer but the day is moving on now. No rain predicted until late afternoon so my walk will be MUCH more pleasant today. Though we got shingles vaccines yesterday. I rarely react to shots of any kind, but he warned us we might feel achy and yucky. and he was RIGHT! But better than risking shingles!
We got our fox panel quilt finished yesterday. I only added 3 blocks each to top and bottom of the panel and then 2 borders. Bill quilted it with a fox pattern he already had in his computer. I got the binding on one side yesterday and then hand stitched a label to catch in the binding this morning. Then it's ready to pop into the mail! I will try to remember to take a photo. Sad thing, though. This quilt is for Bob & Betsy and even as we were both working on it yesterday, she texted that they had just lost their beloved goldendoodle, Violet, to cancer in her urinary tract. Violet was her therapy dog as she went through the waiting process of getting her new lungs, plus all that has come after for her. This is the same thing that took our Snickers. They are heartbroken. So this gift will be timely.
Today - cleaning up some messes I've made through the house, sorting out summer clothes, chiropractor, and then some sewing on my Christmas swap blocks. I'm really trying to get them done before we leave for Alaska. I also want to make a few June lotto blocks, but have them on the back burner for now.
JANA - I don't think these scratching noises in our walls are bees. If so, they are BIG bees! Funny thing though, neither Scott nor Fox seem interested in them. But they were there again last night, this time in the wall between our closet and bedroom. Bill is going to set some traps in the ceiling panels and see what happens. And we have reported Vicki and her garbage to the Health Dept. They said they aren't interested unless we see rats. Then they'll do something. Sigh.
LORI - your tablerunner sounds pretty. and special if you dyed the fabric yourself! Good luck on your modern borders! Maybe prairie points in solid bright colors with a black border . . . I'm here to help!
TINA - if ALL your turtle eggs hatch, then what? Can your yard support that many turtles? lol!
Tonight's supper is going to be homemade pepperoni pizza. Yum!
