SUPPER CLUB - Friday, March 29
Posted: Fri Mar 29, 2019 3:16 am
Good morning,
I THINK today is Friday, isn't it? The days seem to roll by so quickly I can't keep track anymore.
I got my Alaska Portraits top together yesterday. I still need to stitch down 3 fused fish and 5 trees, then add narrow inner border and wider outer border. And then go shopping for backing. YAY!! After today I can come out of my sewing hole and rejoin humanity! Bill and I made a chore list to get done before we leave on April 7 for our 10-day trip. I will start working that list - maybe this afternoon!
BECCA - I watched your video! What a great tribute! But there was no picture of YOU!!! The star of the show! I will say, though, from the littlest great up to your hubby, you have a very good-looking group! Were they really calling you Old Gramma? Cute!! I know someone who's grands call her Big Mama. lol! My kids called my MIL "Bummer". Bill & I are Nonnie and Pop. Oh, as for a vegetarian menu, Beans are OK.
VELDA - do other people camp in your site in Shelbyville while you are gone? Hope dancing was fun last night! Well, of course it was!
CHICKIE - I heard a few others on the forum have been having computer troubles, too. I haven't but then, with my nose in my sewing room this past week, I haven't been trying much. So were you able to get your sewing closet squared away yesterday? You have so much going on in your life it's a wonder you get in there at all!
JANA - well? Did your Giants win? I don't know how the Mariners did. I want them to go well, but Bill doesn't care for baseball, which means we don't watch it. Today is Bridezilla's wedding day, right? Wonder who is going to catch all her attitude when the only one around is her new husband . . . Sarah is really talented! How many instruments does she play? I've seen those surprise inside cakes made on Holiday Baking Show. Amazing!
LORI - Sudafed will do it! So will dehydration, too much wine, and a busy mind! I slept well last night thanks to IBU-PM!
TINA - tacos are always a hit here. My easy go-to's are homemade pizza or pasta in pesto sauce. Only my pesto is just to add olive oil, basil, garlic, parmesan, and walnuts to the pasta. Then if I wish I add options like sliced olives, artichokes, sliced pizza pepperoni, black beans, sliced asparagus, or whatever else I can think of.
Tonite, though, will be leftover pork chops and scalloped potatoes. Bill usually puts the leftovers away so I never know just what I have. If potatoes are gone, it will be diced up chops in the left over gravy over rice.
got any good ideas yet for YOUR supper?
