Wrong fabric

Post by WeSignificant » Sun Mar 10, 2019 5:24 am

I ordered this fabric online for a quilt I want to make. Could not find the fabric the pattern called for. Arrived yesterday and it will not work for what I want to do. It is cotton but has a metallic thread running through it. I won't be using it so if somebody else can use it you are welcome to it. There is about 1.75 yards.

That is very interesting fabric. I don't keep a stash, but it would make an interesting border or interesting background. Are you sure you can't use it in a future project.

Valerie, are you doing the Fat Cat BOM Gnome Grown? Out would work perfect for the background fabric!

Tina I am saving the patterns but will I ever do them? Not sure. I see this as perfect for an angel something at Christmas. It does not feel like regular cotton because of the metallic thread. I don't know how else to describe it.

Val, this could be purrfect for a number of things. Never hurts to have a surprise for later in your stash. I've been told that there will probably be a Christmas swap coming up this summer. Angel? Snow? Snowman? Backgrounds? Lots of uses for beautiful fabric like that! I say keep it for now. You never know . . .

Oh Yes Mary, it would work perfect for the Christmas swap! Valerie, I'll be posting the Christmas swap maybe after Mary's tea party swap is done or the first of July, maybe you should hold on to it till you decide if you want to join that one, it would be perfect for it :o)
