SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 10

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Mar 10, 2019 5:23 am

Good morning!

30* here and cloudy but no rain until tomorrow, I believe. We'll see . . .

Yesterday was a busy day - I spent 1 hour working blocks for the Tea Party Swap. Then 5 hours mixing, cutting, baking, frosting, packing almost 10 dozen shamrock-shaped cookies to give to all my family today at brunch. then 2 hours helping Bill with the big heavy-duty tarps for the RV shelter. Doesn't sound like a lot, but turns out baking is hard work! I nodded off at 8pm last night!

This morning - we are off to Lara's house to see what their big news is . . then home to do some uglies, some swap blocks, make potato salad and grill some burgers.

BECCA - sounds like your family wants to celebrate your big birthday whether you want to or not! lol! Sit back and roll with it. you are blessed.

JANA - glad you got Kate! And that wedding cake for the other bride was a remarkable feat! I'm so glad she was so appreciative - and showed it! I've danced all my life and I think Beauty and the Beast has a lot of dance-able music! Go Gracie!

TINA - how is Easton this morning? For others who didn't hear, Holly took Easton to the ER last night for a very high temp. I believe he was diagnosed with flu.

well, I already told you about my burgers and potato salad, so I'm good here. What's going on your plate tonite?

Good morning!

Great day, I am back sitting in the congregation, not in the front being the chorister! The Ward has called a new one! Yeah for me - I love to stay in the background!

Mary - I too have a hunch on the great news! Hope it is right, you will love it!

Becca - what fun, celebrate your birthday many times this year, you deserve every one of them!

Dinner is totally undecided here. I have many things to choose from, so will see how my leg is to see if I cook or cheat with something.

May see the Batt Cave,

Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon from a warm, sunny, spring like, SW. Pa...We are having a purrrfect day and it looks like it might continue for a couple of days, maybe not as warm but no SNOW......

Mary, Those of us with inquiring minds are so anxious to hear the news.....To celebrate, has to be good news.....You and those shamrock cookies are going to get me in trouble, I think...It's been quite a while since I've visited the Home where Jim was and then thinking about those cookies, oh darn, might as well make a few batches and see what the gals are up too....Not sure how many residents they have so I'll have to give them a call and get a total.....Hopefully, my oven won't let me down, lol....

Becca, I agree with Jana, celebrate every chance you get...I think it's wonderful.....Hope your sunshine sticks around......

Jana, For sure you did get the "right" sister..I just wish the "other" one would realize what is happening before it's too late...She'll never be able to get these days back....AND, what about your leg, did you hurt it???? Maybe you need some time to just sit and put up the feet and relax......

Not much happening on this glorious day....I did run and finally got a hair cut, stopped at the Dollar store and even went through a drive thru and got a sandwich...Sure blew my wad for the day, lol.....I do need to get out and sweep off the back patio/porch and stick in some new solar lights.....
Tomorrow, a couple gals and I are going to a St. Paddy's Day luncheon and there might even be a "beverage" or 2...The Irish aren't known for their good food but I'm sure this will be delish......Pretty hard to mess up potatoes............

Since I've been out and had a late lunch, dinner probably won't be happening.....

You all have a great rest of the day....

Happy eating..............

I have been checking on quite a few eagle nests around the country and a lot of them are incubating eggs....One of the nests near me is soon on "hatch" count down, predicting maybe Mar. 19th for a PIP....Oh boy, then the fun begins...The other nest near me does have at least 1 egg but no camera so no one knows for sure....Sadly, at the Berry College nest, both eaglets passed away, shortly after hatching...They are thinking it could have been from too much rain and cold weather....AND at the Ft. Myers nest, those 2 "chicken sized" eaglets are ready to fledge...It's just, getting those wings moving and taking off, lol....I always feel bad when they leave, almost like when you're kids go off to college or move out.....

Just a quick post, Easton is still the same, he keeps at almost 103 and that's with alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen.
I'll try to get back later, Frankie is taking me out to eat, I'm too tired to cook.....2am is too late to go to bed and then not sleep....I was really worried about Easton.
