SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 7
Posted: Thu Mar 07, 2019 3:24 am
Good morning!
We had some unpredicated snow yesterday for a few hours, started to turn everything white, turned to rain, melted, and now it's snowing again, and we're all white again. And it's MARCH!! I was picking daffodils a few days ago!
Yesterday I finished binding my International Sunbonnet Sue. then I posted some photos of it and a few other swap quilts I got together, though not without some difficulties. I tried to post the photos all at the same time, which only gave me thumbnails. So I had to go and repost one at a time. arghh!! I am so computer stupid!
Today is massage day! Yay! I also plan to wash fabric and play with a tea party block for my new swap, testing out some ideas. Y'all DID see the swap, right?
IRISH - welcome home! But so sorry you came home sick! I hope you are soon dancing an Irish Jig, because, soon, it will be time! And I'm glad you found your bookmark! It's like gold, you know! ;o)
BECCA - I'm sure you really miss your DGS and his family. But I bet the Hoodsport community is happy to have him there, too! What a great mission to make those bears for the police to carry. Did I read correctly? You are sick again? When do you go to the dr again about your low WBC? sorry to hear about your cousin. My oldest brother's wife also has ALZ. We're going to visit this summer in Alaska. He has warned us that she probably won't know us. Sad. I was just 9 yrs old when they got married and I remember how I couldn't do long division unless I did it on her lap. Her lap had math magic!
JANA - Big deck project! have you thought about leaving that deck as is and building a lower level deck? Of course that would mean more expensive lumber and stairs to climb with food and dishes . . . Scratch that idea! Or.... you could put in a dumbwaiter for food and dishes . . . . I know you'll love that deck when it's finished. Dare I ask how the bathroom is coming?
CHICKIE - oh, I hate for Odie to be upset. Bill says I don't get that dogs are dogs. To me, they are just hairier people! I say take him. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission, as they say.
And now on to supper - what to fix? what to fix? I have half a chicken breast. Maybe I'll dice it up and make a small pot of chicken noodle soup. It's a soup kind of day here, and I have all the fixings in-house. I love always being able to 'talk it over' with you girls! No more staring at the stove at 5pm with a blank look on my face and a hopeful one on Bill's!
