SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 7
Good morning!
We had some unpredicated snow yesterday for a few hours, started to turn everything white, turned to rain, melted, and now it's snowing again, and we're all white again. And it's MARCH!! I was picking daffodils a few days ago!
Yesterday I finished binding my International Sunbonnet Sue. then I posted some photos of it and a few other swap quilts I got together, though not without some difficulties. I tried to post the photos all at the same time, which only gave me thumbnails. So I had to go and repost one at a time. arghh!! I am so computer stupid!
Today is massage day! Yay! I also plan to wash fabric and play with a tea party block for my new swap, testing out some ideas. Y'all DID see the swap, right?
IRISH - welcome home! But so sorry you came home sick! I hope you are soon dancing an Irish Jig, because, soon, it will be time! And I'm glad you found your bookmark! It's like gold, you know! ;o)
BECCA - I'm sure you really miss your DGS and his family. But I bet the Hoodsport community is happy to have him there, too! What a great mission to make those bears for the police to carry. Did I read correctly? You are sick again? When do you go to the dr again about your low WBC? sorry to hear about your cousin. My oldest brother's wife also has ALZ. We're going to visit this summer in Alaska. He has warned us that she probably won't know us. Sad. I was just 9 yrs old when they got married and I remember how I couldn't do long division unless I did it on her lap. Her lap had math magic!
JANA - Big deck project! have you thought about leaving that deck as is and building a lower level deck? Of course that would mean more expensive lumber and stairs to climb with food and dishes . . . Scratch that idea! Or.... you could put in a dumbwaiter for food and dishes . . . . I know you'll love that deck when it's finished. Dare I ask how the bathroom is coming?
CHICKIE - oh, I hate for Odie to be upset. Bill says I don't get that dogs are dogs. To me, they are just hairier people! I say take him. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission, as they say.
And now on to supper - what to fix? what to fix? I have half a chicken breast. Maybe I'll dice it up and make a small pot of chicken noodle soup. It's a soup kind of day here, and I have all the fixings in-house. I love always being able to 'talk it over' with you girls! No more staring at the stove at 5pm with a blank look on my face and a hopeful one on Bill's!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 7
Good morning! I’ve been sweeping, mopping and waxing floors. When I finished I got in a 40 minute yoga routine. DH will be home in a few for brunch, so my time in my chair here is limited. I’m on my second cuppa Joe.
Mary—Snow. Again. I have seen 12 inches when the daffodils are blooming, but it’s not a sight I like to see! At least they don’t mind the snow. Your quilts are totally wonderful!!! I need to get busy on all my UFOs and quit starting new projects. What am I saying? I just need to find time to get to my sewing room!!! What??? Dogs definitely are people—especially around this house! Of course, like Bill, my DH feels differently. He does recognize that Odie has separation anxiety at a stroke-inducing level! That’s so sad about your SIL probably not recognizing you. It’s just not right. I wish there was more money spent on research.
We had a good day of errands and my dental cleaning appointment yesterday. And. Best of all. We brought home Chinese buffet take out! We had a picnic on the way home and have several meals left. I love not having to cook!
Today I go in to town and help my sister with Mom’s bath. We really are providing in-home nursing home care! Tomorrow is my day to go sit with Mom and give my sister and her husband a break. I may not get here tomorrow, as I have to be there early so my sister can go get a haircut.
Irish—poor thing! I hate hearing you’ve been sick! The pic that Mary posted of you and that little sweetie was so precious! I know you and Kathy had a wonderful week. I do not recommend that way of losing weight, either! Get well quick!!! Thank you for the special thoughts! They are MOST appreciated!
Becca—my condolences to you! Enjoy that soup! Those bears are so sweet!
Jana—outdoor eating on your deck is wonderful! Our deck is big enough to put the white tables out there and seat 25 or so people around them. Your addition will be wonderful!
I might take Odie with me this afternoon since I won’t be there a full day and see how he does with the big dog. They have played before together but not recently.
Dinner tonight… Chinese. I can’t wait!!!
Bon appétit!

Good morning!
Michael is driving me nuts at the moment! He can't find a paper of mine, si I have to drop everything and find it right now! UGGH! It is now found, slowly he will be back on the good list.
Ethan is walking home, here, from school this afternoon. He is out early and will come to play here. When we pick him up, it is out the back gate to the school, takes him about 10 minutes to walk out there. To walk out the front gate and to my house, he runs, less than 5 minutes and he is here! Silly boy!
I have the appliques all fused and ready to blanket stitch. That will be this afternoon.
Mary - not looking forward to the construction, but am looking to when it is done! My deck is made from Trex boards, those fake boards. No splinters, but it does get quite warm. We might have to replace all of them, if we can't match the color. Or live with something close. No the bathroom hasn't seen any progress, but my Daniel will be here for a week in the beginning of May. They are coming for the celebration of the anniversary of the driving the golden spike here in Utah. UP is bringing down one of their big steam engines, that has been out of service for a few years. It is now running and is a huge deal! Maiden voyage and you know my boys and girls all want to see it under steam power. Daniel will be here for a week and is one who is always busy, bathroom will see progress.
Chickie - how wonderful for you to serve your mom. Odie will be a good boy, just to get to go with you!
Irish - so sorry you were sick. Hope you are on the mend. Thought of you as I hung up my shamrocks outside and my other St Paddy's decor in the house. I have a Irish last name, but we are Scottish. One of my kids favorite foods is corned beef - we eat it more than just once a year!
Becca - hope the sun is shining at your house!
Dinner - out, we have class tonight and then we have a several week break until the next class.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning
Mary, I was going to work on my tea party block this morning but yesterday I started pulling yucky mustard weeds around my pond and only got about 1/4 done and this morning was so nice I decided to pull more weeds, I'm over half done now. My knees aren't too happy with me and my fingers hurt LOL I'm a weenie weed puller.
Irish, so sorry you're sick, feel better soon.
Chickie, they are little 4 legged humans. I hope he does good at your sisters.
Becca, I hope your doing better.
Jana, your deck sounds like a big project.
I'm just watching the boys and trying to do yard work lately. We're supposed to have some bad winds today so wanted to get at it while it was nice, I'm also watering my front yard while it's nice too. Tomorrow is the last day before spring break, I'm hoping to get my tea party blocks done and get some organizing going on in my sewing room over those 9 days.
Mary, your quilts are gorgeous! Love them all!
Supper, hmmm I'm not sure yet. Last night was carne asada tacos and they were yummy!
