SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Feb 25

Good chilly morning!
We are 34* this morning, but dry! We had a lot of snow flurries yesterday but nothing stuck. I was disappointed, but probably I was probably the only person in the PNW! lol! We have a lot of sub-freezing temps (lows) in this week's forecast and there were several days with snowflakes on them, but now all the snowflakes have been replaced by suns! I can get on board with sunshine, too!
So - that quilt top I finished yesterday? A 4x4 setting with an inner border and then a wider outer border? Well, as I stepped back to admire it I noticed that the bottom two rows of the quilt were sewed upside down! Argghhh!!! I usually sew quilt tops in halves and then sew the halves together - hence it was a BIG mistake. I started to frog and then decided I couldn't face it then, so I set it all aside and went on to my last UFO - International Sunbonnet Sue. I'm loving this project! I did however, find 3 blocks that were fused but not stitched down. Grrr.... Now who sent in un-sewn blocks?? Well, guess who. These three Sues were never chosen by swap participants so I quickly made them myself and set aside to sew them down later. And I forgot. Sigh. Whatever am I going to do with me??
BECCA - I'm glad you're going to the hematologist. If things get worse, then you have a harder and longer climb to get back on top of this. And I'm double glad Denise is going with you. As a nurse I advised patients to always take a second set of ears (and to write down questions and info to tell the dr). With medical jargon on top of just not feeling good, it's hard to remember everything you are told. Bill and I always accompany each other when we're sick. I was thinking of you this morning. I'm reading a Joanne Fluke book right now. It's a baking themed mystery. And they made strawberry muffins/bread! (I was reading before coming here). I never heard of it before you told us about it. Now I have to try it for sure.
JANA - I asked in sew-in, but I'll ask here, too. What does a chorister do? I know who the chorus is - the singers, right? and the conductor is the person up front waving the stick at the singers. So what does a chorister do? It's a new term for me. Have fun with your new threads and pattern!
IRISH is off with Kathy smooching Lena Rose.
CHICKIE is still staying with Mom, while sis, BIL, and Doyal are getting Mom's new room ready at Chickie's sister's. So the actual move won't happen for another day or two. Chickie says to tell you all howdy!
TINA - well, I don't know where Tina is or what she's doing. Maybe she'll pop in today.
We had our hash last night made from leftover roast, and tonite is going to be beef noodle soup. We have a little leftover hash and it could go into the soup, but I think we'll have that for breakfast with some eggs. If I put too much into the soup, we'll be eating on it for days. And I want to work our way to that turkey breast thawing in the fridge!
So, how's supper looking at your house?
