SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Feb 16th

Good morning,
Most of our epic snow has melted but that doesn't mean we don't still have a ton of it on the ground! Biggest snow in 100 years really gives you your money's worth of the white stuff! And I'm still loving it! Such a rare treat here.
Yesterday I finished all my 12 bears and will put that top together this morning. Then it will go into the UFO pile until I find some flannel for backing. It has to be snuggly warm, for this baby who will be born in mid-august! LOL!
Then I'll be moving on to uglies - bathroom, mopping, dusting, vac'g. We invited friends, Gus & Claudia, for an early supper. They are our happy hour friends we meet about once a month at the Mexican restaurant. They usually go with us on a wine-tasting trip to Yakima every early spring and it's time to plan!
TINA - that's a good price for steak! I saw hamburger in the store the other day for $7 a pound! I skipped that! Hope your dad is doing better on the antibx. Is Frankie having more work done at the dentist? I go on Tuesday. I have a tooth that is bothering me - a crown that he put in last year. I'm not going to be happy if that crown needs to be drilled out and redone.
JANA - Any "fallout" from your earthquake? And yes, I would think the cougars would get the attention! I'm sure you saw the guy in CO who was attacked and ended up in hand to paw combat with the cat. He finally strangled it! But kids couldn't do that. I hope there are big fences around all the playgrounds! Thanks for your tip on the no-cook noodles. Maybe I cooked the whole lasagna too long (9x13, 1/2 hr, 350*). They seemed overly soft.
CHICKIE - your tablerunner and placemats were purrfect for your outdoorsie family! We'll all be looking for your DD's quilt soon! No, I didn't find the grunge, but this quilt will be a good one to go through the pre-school years and I'm sure it will obtain a natural grunge look before long! lol! Thanks for the tip about using regular lasagna noodles and adding more liquid. I've thought about that before but never actually tried it. Seems every time I make lasagna it's for a special occasion and I don't want to risk a failure.
BECCA - I'm sure you are aware that the white blood cells fight infections. If your count is low, then you are susceptible to any infx or virus that comes along and you will have a difficult time getting rid of it. Smart of you to stay home as much as possible!
MARY ROSE - that's the problem with a pot of beans. They aren't so yummy by Day 5! lol! The no-cook noodles are lasagna noodles. No bags.
So tonite's supper is going to be thin pork tenderloin cutlets, breaded and fried, then covered in a cranberry glaze. (recipe calls for raisins, but I use Craisins). Hot buttered noodles and a veggie yet to be named. And I'll probably make rolls, too, and possibly a cake. Depends on time and ambition.
