Good morning!

Thank you all for your sweet comments on my photo. I hadn't realized Aut and I look alike 'til y'all pointed it out. Now I see it! My older DD, Lara, looks like me, but she and their brother, Mike, look so much alike and Mike looks just like his dad! Does this mean their dad and I looked alike?? The older I get, I'm seeing my mom in my mirror more and more often!

IRISH - Bill and I laughed when I read him part of your post yesterday - "had to make sure Walmart was doing OK." lol! probably much better after your visit!

BECCA - if you can't type, I hope you can read - prayers for your household!

JANA - You have been getting some good quality time in your Batt Cave! Nice that your DH had someone to go play with so you could sew uninterrupted!

Cindy made it here about 4:30 pm yesterday. On Thursday their H-VAC system at home failed. $13,000. Then on the way here they had a flat tire on their trailer - It was completely shredded. Another motorist alerted them. And then it rained. I sure hope they can relax for a few days after all of that! We might go to the Farmers Market this morning and Cindy wants to go to the little LQS we found in town. Rain has stopped for the weekend so maybe we can sit outside and have a fire or play cards. Plus, in the town of Giddings, a short 25 miles down the road, there are THREE quilt shops - hmmmm.... We could get into a lot of trouble there!

We had chili relleno casserole last night and it was delish so we'll finish that up tonite for our supper. Or if weather is decent, we might grill burgers together.

Have you got a supper plan bubbling up yet?

Good afternoon from dreary, cold, waiting for the snow to come (and hoping it won't), SW. Pa....Usually when they "warn" us of pending snow, it doesn't come...But, then what do I care, Chewy.com made a big delivery yesterday and I have plenty of potty paper and tea, so I'm set......

Mary, by now, I'm sure you and Cindy have managed to do some damage and I'm not speaking of the "bad" kind...My heavens, seemed like the bad stuff was following Cindy and Don but now, it's all going to be gone...Hopefully, they, you and Bill will have a super weekend and the bail money fund will stay intact....

Becca, we all are worried and praying you're on the mend and will be back soon....Hang in there, Girlfriend.....

Jana, always nice when you have the house to yourself for a few hours or at least some time with no interruptions....It seems, in your household, those times are few and far between, lol..

Today is my ugly day and I mean UGLY! Not sure what I did all week but couldn't have been much, lol...But, we're doing the Whirlpool waltz along with the Swiffer shuffle...The fur kids are napping so I don't dare bring out the Shark vacuum....

As for dinner, might be munching on my big new bag of chips...Sounds like a plan to me....

Did notice, Berry College now has their 2nd egg so that will be another future bobble head...And our Pittsburgh Aviary just got a new Golden Eagle that had been injured and is now rehabed....Will be anxious to see it....

You all have a great day......Stay warm and safe!

Happy eating................

Good late afternoon!

The fog is thicker than pea soup and so it is very dark and gray here today. Cold too, we are only at 28!

Went out earlier today on a paper milk run, but it turned into a all day traipse! We went to Home Depot for a computer router switch thingy, so Michael can expand for the new printers. Well, he saw a very nice ceiling light and showed me. Mistake! I liked it and told him it would look good in the front room and then I suggested the middle guest bedroom too. That led him to suggest that we find another for the front bedroom. Our Home Depot only had two, so while we headed across the valley to get the other printer that will do the big sheets of paper, we stoped off at the Home Depot there. They didn't have any, but checked and another Home Depot, up the mountain, near the ski resorts had 4. Off we went, but missed where that store was, so I got out my handy dandy new phone and googled a map to find it. Well, since that store had more that what was originally needed, we came up with a couple more places to replace here in the house. You see, this house was not built with standard, Edison based bulbs, the normal ones you screw in. You see, a stupid politician named Pelosi, thought she knew best and forced all manufactuers to change their bulbs to be more energy efficient and to force the consumer, she made the new bulbs to be a bi pin base. Well, that went over like a lead balloon and since my house was built, she changed the rules again! So we are left with replacing all the fixtures in my house, so that I can use Edison based bulbs that are LED. What a pain! But at least the new ones I just bought were on sale at 50 percent off and look very nice as well. There are only two fixtures left to replace and they go over the mirrors in my bathrooms. The fixtures that we have replaced used a bi-pin base and no one makes bulbs for them!

Michael also ran in to JoAnn's for a package of rick rack for me.

And since it is not snowing for a few days, we had the car washed and picked up a sandwich we split, so no dinner here tonight.

What a trip!

Mary - glad Cindy made it. Tell her to look into the local utility company, as when we lived in California, they had deals to help you replace old HVAC units and helped with costs of financing with 0 interest. So the utility co could get more efficient units in place.

Irish - I put off my dance with the laundry until Monday.

Oh yes, yesterday Michael was pulling his hair out with his friend. The stroke this man had left him with no sense of remembering short term. He got lost getting here, so Michael went and found him. Then when he went to go home, got lost twice and a trip that normally took about a hour, was over 2 hours for this man to drive home. He should not have been driving! Ethan went with them and had fun with al the trains. During all the commotions, he was a very good and patient boy.

What a book!

Enjoy,
Jana
