SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Dec 21

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Dec 21, 2018 1:03 am

Good morning!

We get a few extra seconds of daylight today. What do you plan to spend them on? 😎. Yesterday was VERY blustery here though sunny. All kinds if things were blowing around the campground.

Yesterday was all Christmas Vintage sewing. One block alone had 62 pieces but most of them aren’t nearly as complicated. They arent hard, simply time-consuming. I now have 11 blocks finished. 31 to go.

Today will be laundry so off to Washatopia we go. We also need to stop at the post office and the catfood store. Then we are invited to friends’ campsite for Happy Hour at 4pm.

Tina, I hope you get your massage in and that it does you a lot of good. That is a really long Christmas break the kids have. What is your plan for your days off ?

Jana, We are all waiting for the latest Ethanism that you promised!

Chickie, that Coat was an awesome find! You are hereby declared the queen of thrifting!

Becca, The news shows that North Carolina has been getting some of the most interesting weather in the entire nation for the last couple of months. I hope your rain is letting up and you get a break for a few days

As usual, I am not sure about supper. Sometimes our happy hours have enough food to call supper. I know that we are taking apple slices and caramel dip and perhaps some cheese and crackers. There will be two other couples provided snacks as well. But I have a hunch we will come home and feast on scrambled eggs and toast.

What will you be feasting on tonight

Good Morning Maryz and others. It really has been windy. Temps are great but with the wind, it feels really chilly. I can see you have lots of friends and fun at your campground. Not sure what I am fixing tonight. Maybe spaghetti??
Sewing yesterday, I decided to lay out a jumper for myself and cut it out. Directions leave a lot to be desired. It called for ripping the fabric at 35 inches, so I thought, ok, used to do this in sewing class. Not good. I don't know why, but it didn't look even at all. So I straightened it up with scissors. That was for the gathered skirt section, so it worked out in the long run. But I should have used my quilting skills and just use rotary cutter. :).
I won't start sewing it until after our kids leave. All my sewing stuff is stuffed into closet and cabinets. :)
They will arrive on Sunday late afternoon and be here for a week. I am so looking forward to their visit.
Happy Friday to all of you.

Yippeee!!! The days are getting longer!!! I can handle winter with longer days and hoping for the sunshine. We are sunny today with a high of 51. We had a chilly wind yesterday even with the sun shining.

I heard there was bad weather in Ft. Myers, FL, where Irish is visiting. As anyone heard if she is o.k.? Mary, I was shocked there was a tornado in your PNW! Glad you were able to check and see you had no damage.

I can’t stay and visit today. I’m going to pay a bill, then off to town for lunch with Mom.

Dinner tonight—a few leftovers.

Bon appétit!

Just a quick run by. My menu changed LOL no ground meat in freezer, I forgot that I didn't get it this week. So pork chops slipped in to replace spaghetti. Maybe tomorrow???
