Good morning!

Yesterday we had gusty winds all day long from 25 to 30 mph. During the night they have really picked up and are supposed to continue through the day. Definitely an indoor day even though it will be 60+ degrees. I got my haircut yesterday and the proof is always in the pudding. The pudding being the next day when I do it myself. But for walking in to a strange place, an inexpensive hair-cutting chain, I think I am going to be very happy with my new ‘do’. I asked about adding a streak of color, probably green, but there was only one stylist at the time and she didn’t do color.

I got out my sewing machine yesterday for the first time since arriving in Texas. I brought a kit from home that I had received as a gift several years ago for throw-sized braid quilt. I got three braids together and today hope to finish the top.

Jana, I really like Jim Shores work. But Cindy G is a collector. She REALLY loves his stuff. So sorry you broke your figurine. That is an amazing spread of value from $75-$5000. Makes you think one is either overpriced or one is underpriced. Your cookies sound awesome! You do have my Texas address, right? 😘😘

Chickie, no wonder you have lost so much weight and are sporting a youthful, toned shape with all your dog walking and yoga. You have a wedding tomorrow. Have you found a top to wear with your skirt yet?

Becca, is your neighborhood starting to recover from your snowstorm yet? The national weather looked like rain is headed your way soon too. NC hasn’t had a break for months, weather-wise. Glad your son made it home from Africa safely. Took me a while to remember where he had Gone. My friend’s DD spent four months in Africa during nursing school, working in a hospital, helping to deliver babies. She had her mom mail her sterile gloves because they don’t use them over there. Very sad conditions.

Irish, You are getting very close to your launch date! Are you packed yet?

Tina- where are you? You must have starved to death By now!

I think tonight‘s dinner will be something pulled from the freezer. I have ham and beans, or homemade chili. I will serve either one over a baked potato that we will split.

What tantalizing ideas of bubbling up on your menu?

Good morning!

Wide awake and it really isn't morning until the sun comes over the mountain! It is still dark here and cold too!

Dinner is out somewhere with Matt and Crenda, then onto the Choir's big concert. It will be lots of fun.

Today is clean up the kitchen. We will mess it up again on Sunday afternoon, after church, decorating them.

Mary - I hate windstorms in a RV! We were staying on FIL's property, before the home was finished, in a windstorm with snow! The snow piled so deep against the door, that Michael had to use the emergency window to crawl out and get a shovel to dig us out. The wind shook us badly with every gust. FIL's neighbor came and rescued us in his big tractor, took us next door to his house. My kids all loved that adventure! What adventures this family has had and will probably have more!

Enjoy!
Jana
