Good morning,
We are 33° this morning but dry. I am wondering where all the warm is that we came south to find. I had a scratchy throat two days ago, coughed all day yesterday, and woke up this morning with no voice. looks like Bill is going to have a good day!
I start my Thai Chi class this morning with my two friends, Linda and Linda. We invited the third Linda but she is opting out. I am anxious to see what it is like
I needed a nice outfit bordering on cocktail dress style, to wear to the nutcracker suite next week with Autumn. So I had to go shopping. Since I really don’t need these types of clothes I didn’t want to pay big prices so I went to the Goodwill and a beautiful red dress, black jacket, shoes, and handbag practically fell into my cart. They all fit perfectly and altogether I paid only $18.75, plus tax. I am excited about that probably more than I am about the ballet!
Last night I made a sort of chicken taco soup. Bill said he really liked it. And there is enough for tonight so that will be our supper. I haven’t read everything yet that y’all posted yesterday. I have to hop into the shower. I hope I get to it before my class, but I will sometime today.

Good morning! I’ve been AWOL—mainly in my sewing room or in town on Saturday or in my kitchen. DH seemed to arrive early from geezer coffee, and that interferes with my time with you. I get busy then, and I never get to my computer. I’m still working on all the placemats. I have one top to finish, and I’ll be quilting this afternoon after I return from dog walking.
Saturday when I came home from town. I was putting away my groceries and decided to cook up my lasagna meat rather than freeze it first. So… one thing lead to another, and I made my lasagnas and froze them. I’ll be ready to thaw and bake for Christmas dinner. It’s nice to have one thing ready for dinner! Yes, everyone is coming here, and I haven’t a clue how many yet.
We have the wedding this weekend and another dinner with DH’s late wife’s family next Saturday, then dinner here on Christmas. Tomorrow we go to DH’s Area Agency on Aging Christmas luncheon and business meeting.
Mary—I wish I was shopping with you! I don’t know what I’m wearing Saturday! I have a black skirt—well, two actually. One needs the hem replaced (I have no idea what happened there—DD gave it to me, and it’s hung in my closet for quite some time). Both skirts are black. I haven’t been able to find the right top to go with either of them. I need a pretty jacket, but there is no place to shop within 50+ miles. So… I’ll throw something on before we go… The wedding is in a barn, so I don’t have to dress up too much. I always like chicken taco soup—any variety!
Looking forward to hearing how you like Tai Chi! I did my yoga hour practice this morning.
Tina—you must have gotten a front load washer. I think it would be neat, but DH leaves too many screws and larger items that I miss, and I don’t want to ruin a seal the first time I did his laundry! My DD loves her front loader. Hope your birthday was wonderful!
Becca—I know you were happy to get that generator installed in time for your crazy weather forecast! It was in ours, but they took it out, and the storm went south of us. I saw all the snow on the news!
Irish—I love the idea of a day in the recliner with a good book, some snacks and a kitty on my lap!!! Most of the time Odie acts like a cat as he lays pressed against my side when I’m in the recliner, so it’s almost the same.
We had chili the last couple of nights. Tonight will be something new, but I don’t have a clue what it will be. Time to get busy again here!
Bon appétit!

Good morning from another very cold and dreary, SW. Pa...But, no snow, thank goodness....
Mary, I had just taken a peek at the eagle nest and saw, along with a very large Momma eagle keeping those eggs warm, their temperature in SW. Florida is only in the high 60s....I think I'm going to have to complain about that as you should also....Us people from the north expect warmer temps while we're down there, right????I'll give them a week to get their act together, lol....Wow, you really did hit the jackpot at the thrift store...I've been lucky but nothing like that...I do remember before Cari's wedding, my sister and I stopped in a "shop" and came across a couple of prom dresses that should have been thrown away, years ago...I sent Kathy a picture and asked if either would be OK for the wedding...She wrote back and sais, we shouldn't be allowed to shop together! Jackie's wedding is next July so maybe I should start looking...
Sure hope your scratchy throat feels better...That's not supposed to be a part of a vacation.....
Worried about Becca, hope all is OK.....
Once again, I'm running short on time...Not that I get that much or anything accomplished but time gets away from me too quickly....I'm taking Ruby for her checkup, then off to Kohl's and then to Aldi...Our Aldi had closed for remodeling and just had their big opening and it's supposed to be super duper....
So book in hand, I'm off to the Subaru dealer.....As for dinner, maybe I'll get something good at Aldi or maybe Ruby will decide.....
You all have a great day......
Happy eating..............

Hi everyone

Mary, what a great find! I bet you're going to enjoy the Nutcracker!
Chickie, Yes I did get a front loader, my other one was one too, I love them! We've never had any problem with our old one in almost 9 years, we just have to remember to clean the filter about once a year. We found they do clean so much better and use probably a fourth the water....it reminds me of when people did laundry by beating them on rocks

my old pedestal isn't big enough for the new machine. I sure gave it a workout yesterday, 9 loads of laundry!!
Irish, I don't have an inside Kitty to snuggle in my recliner with but Duncan and Rosie do a pretty good job of keeping me all cuddled up
My throat isn't hurting as much today but I feel kinda wiped out. I slept pretty good last night and turned my humidifier up on my CPAP and that seemed to help a lot. I think it's nap time for me though
I made a huge pot of veggie beef soup and we had that for lunch and that's gonna be supper too! Kitchen is already cleaned so all I gotta do is warm soup up for supper. Dad's turn to come over and he loves soup
Tina
