Supper club, Wednesday. Nov 7
Good morning!
We are freezing this morning here in Colorado and will only go to about 41°. Much chillier day but no precipitation in the forecast. I guess I can handle that It was another day Of thrift shopping with both my sisters. We will make it marathon days. Today will be the last day. I found 4 Sweatshirts for Bill yesterday. He wears them constantly but all of his are worn out. He likes sweatshirts, not hoodies, and they are hard to find now believe it or not.
Glad the election is done. Though I was feeling pretty popular for a while there as my phone rang constantly !
Pam, I also add celery, mushrooms, shredded carrots, and lemon pepper to my stirfry. I know the riced Cauliflower looks like a rice, but does it TASTE like rice after you Doctor it up?
Becca, I guess I didn’t hear about arsonists and escapees near you. Not a very fun thing to happen in your neighborhood ! All of washington state votes by mail . Bill & I always get our ballots in as soon as possible. You never know what might happen to prevent you from voting And I want to make as sure as possible that my vote counts. We dropped our balllots off in a ballot box at Safeway 3 weeks ago.
Chickie, I imagine your mom is going to bask in the memories of that party for a very long time. Who wouldn’t!? You are such a good daughter!
Tina, seems you are busy all day every day.
Jana, My Hallway is my picture gallery. Not Much has changed in the last four years Since our youngest grandson graduated. I did wash the walls a while back but that’s about it! LOL All our frames come from Costco too, including our eyeglass frames
Supper tonight is going to be at the younger sisters house. I believe it’s going to be some sort of pasta dish baked in the oven. I was at her house yesterday and I did see a pan garlic knots set out, ready to bake. and I’m betting there will be a salad.
This is the sister that had food poisoning. The only thing she ate that no one else ate was the hummingbird cake. Her 87-year-old mother-in-law said she had taken it out of the Freezer ( though she never said WHEN) and urged my sister to eat it up. There was only one piece and everyone else at the table got chocolate cake. My sister didn’t want to tell her MIL that she was sick. But I pointed out that who knows who all ate that cake before she froze it. Maybe everybody got sick and no one wanted to say anything and hurt feelings.

Good morning! It’s cool here today—going for 52, but it’s sunny, and that’s what counts!!! I finished my yoga practice, so my day is mine… somewhat. The hooligans and I will be walking Ava around noon. Hope to get in a little more walking besides her exercise.
Mary—I like hoodies better than sweatshirts… I like the warm hug around my neck! I don’t wear the hood that often, but it sure comes in handy when I need it. We stayed up late and watched the election returns roll in. Hope your sis is all better after her food poisoning!
Pam---I’m going to have to try cauliflower rice! I am a veggie fan, although DH is not. I don’t know if I could convince him that cauliflower is rice. I sure like your Leah’s Star blocks in your Oriental fabrics!
Tina—you were sure making the most of your day yesterday. I was exhausted reading!
Becca—that was crazy scary in your neighborhood! I didn’t see/hear anything about it on the news. Every so often we get an alert from the local sheriff about fugitives in the area. Never a dull moment!
I’m hoping to get to sew today. I cut out a few Leah’s Star blocks yesterday, and I’d like to put them together. I miss Lea’s funny posts and how she loved the Secret Santa on here.
Dinner tonight… I’m thinking BBQ pork sandwiches. I have sauerkraut for mine! There’s cake and chips and coleslaw and corn. We won’t starve!
Bon appétit!

Good afternoon from chilly, semi dreary, SW. Pa...Once again, we kind of live for the moment and right now, no sun....
Chickie, I really want to thank you for finding my post and putting it on the right day...See what happens if I don't have someone watching me, I really go astray.....
Mary, For sure I need to go "thrift shopping" with you...I certainly don't find the bargains you do..But, I do have to watch I don't pick up something I had dropped off the week before...I'm also glad the election is over but with caller ID, I didn't answer the phone but the mailings were way, way too much...Our PO has recycling box and everyone dropped "that" mail right in the box before leaving the PO...How much money could be saved...Oh well, it's over.....
Becca, that would really give a person a scare, thank goodness all is back to being safe again....Not too long ago we had an alert, kind of funny...But, a fellow had gone into a dealership and wanted to buy a Jeep that cost $100,000...The 1st clue was a Jeep that cost that much and 2nd, he didn't have any ID and looked pretty scunggy....The police were called and the fellow ran out a back door and over the hill...Well, this place is only about 2 miles away but he was headed in our direction so we had police cars every where...He was found the next day, hiding in the woods not too far from me but I think he wasn't very dangerous...I think the crime in this was the dealership trying to sell a Jeep for that much.....As Chickie said, never a dull moment...But, those moments we can live without....
But, speaking of getting a scare...Yesterday afternoon, I was on the phone in the dining room and heard a noise and then I heard my front door open..I was talking to DDIL, Cindy and said, someone just came in the house...So we walked through the living room and there was a brief case on the couch and then I looked up the steps and there was a person calling for BabyGirl...I then said, hello and almost scared the pants off the young fellow who had been taking care of the cats...He had just come home from class, apparently hadn't gotten the message from his Mom that I was home...I did make sure I got the key back and said, he'd get it again the next time I needed him....But, for that second, it was scary.....
Today is a stay at home day and maybe working on the kitchen windows...Take the lacy things down and put up the heavier winter ones....I have a feeling by the time I get all my winter stuff up, it will be time to change back into spring....My sister called and said tomorrow she was coming to the furniture store to pick up her table and we could do lunch...But, I'm already meeting gals so maybe she'll join us...Other than that, nothing is happening, very quiet in the neighborhood....So quiet, you can almost hear the leaves fall (sad)....
Not thinking much about dinner, last night I had 2 slices of toast, maybe tonight I'll add an egg.....I was going to mix up a batch of cinnamon rolls but I only have regular flour and I like to use the bread flour so need to add that to my list...
You all have a great day.....
Happy eating...............

Hello everyone sunny & beautiful day here.Just got back from my walk. The neighborhood has calmed down & hoping it stays calm .Quiet is good.
Maryz We don’t know what caused the fire yet.Still investigating.Could have been electrical. The fugitives were from TN being housed in our jail. They broke out but were caught that night quick.
You do find the good buys.
Irish I would have been doing some quick thinking .But you were brave & acted normal.
Glad DS was here with us.Gives me more security.
Chickie I can live without those moments myself.
Denise Called today to see when they need to come Do leaves. They are sure being helpful to us.We did some yesterday but more to fall yet.Only about 1/2 down.
I got all the errands done & Groceries.CA did fold the clothes for me.A big help.
We have shredded chicken. Will add some roasted potatoes & salad. Becca

Good afternoon!
Just got home from Costco- got a few food items, my pictures and the store didn't have one single dress for little girls! Just big ol heavy parkas! So I went to the next best place - Macy's - online and got all the dresses for my little girls. They were on sale and then there was a extra discount because of Veteran's Day. Which was very helpful - saved over $120.00. Michael would have had a fit if everything wasn't on sale! They will be here next week. I give them to my girls early in the month of December, so they can wear them to church for the season. Tried to get a matching set for Gracie and Lila, but no luck. Still cute dresses.
Dinner - humm - I have no idea recipe! We will see what we are in the mood for - may be just a sandwich and bowl of tomato soup.
Well, Michael is almost done with the new inventory sheets, which means, I need to go to work - and recount everything we have - again - uggh- sometimes engineers can be a pain! But I will do it!
Enjoy!

Cauli-rice is not rice, but I like it. Dan ate it just fine with enough soy sauce. Tonight is forbidden food. Along with that, we are having cauliflower with melted cheese and apple coleslaw. Have a great night!
