Good morning
We are in Wheatland, WY. A neat little town about 70 miles north of Cheyenne. They have RV sites in their very purrfect city park. For free! Though they do accept donations. And we were generous. Best city park EVER! We saw many herds of pronghorns as we traveled yesterday. They were everywhere! Today we should arrive at my sisters by 11 am or noon at the latest. We stay at the fairgrounds near her house. She actually used to be the camp host there for several years.
Irish, have fun with Kathy and safe travels. Don’t wear out that baby with all your smooches!
Jana, nice to get things straightened away. Especially just before holidays. How is the downstairs bathroom coming?
Pam, I made some of those lotto blocks before we left. Mine came out almost exactly 12 1/2 inches to. Very little to trim off. I love that in a pattern
Tina, sounds like the kids are all settled in now. Hope there are no more problems
Chickie, I think we are all anxious to hear the details of the party! Maybe you will have time on Monday I know your family is still there
Becca, hope you get to post on interrupted today.
Velda, safe travels. We are taking the long way around to Texas. We always try to take a different route and see as much of the country as possible and visit family and friends. We are taking 2-1/2 weeks to make the trip this time. We arrive in GT on the 17th. Since we have a new trailer, we have a new sticker map on the outside so we have to pick up all the states again. Lol!
My sister is planning a big pizza party tonight. My other sister went to Nebraska for the weekend so I guess she won’t be there but my niece, nephew, their spouses, and a few friends will. We will be staying there for four nights, possibly five, but we find for nights is usually plenty. But since this is supper club, I guess the take away here is pizza!
What’s The big supper story at your house

Hi MaryZ, I smiled when I saw where you were, Wheatland, WYO. Been in that town a few times. My cousin lives there. They do have a nice park but we usually just parked on street in front of their house. That is an adorable little town and they go to Cheyenne or Laramie for drs, VA etc. Such a pretty area too.
Chriss, take note, nice place to live but a little far from drs and they do get some bad winters there. My cousin teaches card making classes at the local senior center. They go there for lunch everyday too. Cheaper than cooking and cleaning up at home and nice variety.
Prayers for all you travelers out there, heading south for the winter. Yes, Velda, Texas is a huge state. Been there a few times too in various ends of it. My DD2 lives in NE area of Texas not far from Shreveport, LA. Pretty part of country.
MaryZ, we never got one of those US maps and put stickers on it but always wanted one. We could have filled up most of it in our past travels. Wish we were still on the road. Remember, you are building memories for your old age rocking chair yrs when you can't travel any more. So please keep posting about your travels. Brings back memories for me.
Not sure about supper tonight or any night. We just sort of wing it around here, depending on how we both feel. Lots of days, not so good. Rainy here all night, more on way and SNOW coming in on thur. The high on thur will be 38*, BRRRRR.
Travelers, keep an eye on the weather. Missouri is known for fast changing weather patterns and weathermen sure don't always get it right. LOL
So achy today, hope it is the weather and not coming down with yet another virus again. So much going around this area. Rod is in lots of pain, sciatic nerve so pain in back, hip, and leg. Rod went to dr mon and on verge of sinus infection too. He just can't win some days.
You all have a great day and a nice week ahead. Enjoy fall colors, they won't last long if snow moves in so early.
God bless, love and hugs to all, be happy, travel safely, and don't forget to change your clocks. We now "fall back" an hour.
ps Rod tried to change our clocks last night, I got up in night and out of 4 clocks in living room area, 3 had totally diff times on them. Gave up and decided to just go to bed and figure it all out today. Don't change clocks when you are tired. LOL

Good Morning Mary and Vel, Greetings from Arizona. LOL Been a long time since I have been on here. The time difference makes a big difference. we are usually 3 hours behind you. This is a wonderful time here in AZ. The temps are in the high 70's or low 80's. Best time of the year.
Today we are having French onion soup and maybe a hamburger. I know, an odd combination, but I have such a taste for onion soup. lol hamburgers are because not sure the onion soup will be enough for Ken.
The soup is so easy to make, fill a crock pot with sliced onions and cover with beef broth and turn it on low. Presto. Fill a bowl, add a slice of hard bread and cover with mozzarella cheese, put it under the broiler until the cheese melts and serve.
Ken goes back to the surgeon Tuesday morning to see what the options are regarding the sack of fluid now on his spine, bulging disks, and nerves being compressed by the sack. All this not there before the surgery in March. So it is all new. Needless to say, he is in constant pain. But it is not interfering in his Billiards. lol
Well I am off to do some sewing, not sure what I will work on yet, but you will find me in the sewing room. Safe travels to all the travelers.
Hugs,
Carole

Good afternoon! It’s already afternoon—time gets away from me! It’s laundry day, and I’ve been feeding those machines all morning. I’ve also made pizza dough, and it’s rising on the counter. I think I’ll be having my CA family for pizza for dinner this evening.
We had a great day yesterday at Mom’s party. I’m not sure how many came, but the venue was full with a steady line of come and go well wishers. We had lots of family and friends for the dinner after. They got Mom home and settled in, and while we were cleaning up, the rains came—gentle at first, and harder after we got home. Perfect timing! There were visitors from California, New York, Florida, Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas and Arizona that I remember. It was pretty awesome to see so many people make the trip special for Mom! She enjoyed the whole time!
Well, Mary—you are having pizza tonight, and so are we! Sounds like you found the purrfect place to park last night! Sure can’t beat the price, and I know they appreciated your generosity! Enjoy your visit with your sister! How neat to see all the pronghorns!
Pam—I really like those blocks, too. I’m going to try to make some if I can.
Tina—It is sad that the junkies break in and steal everything they can find to get a few bucks for at the junk yard.
Becca—your temperatures are warmer than ours! Yesterday was about 60, but today we’re only 50 and not there yet!
Carole from Surprise—what a pleasant surprise to have you back at the table! Oh, I do love French Onion soup!!! I think I could eat it all meals of the day! I share your passion!!! I usually do it with Swiss cheese, but any cheese is yummy! So sorry to hear your DH is still having difficulties—glad it’s not interfering with his hobby!
Vel—You’re almost to your winter home! Sounds like you’ve made good time!
Irish—Know you’re having fun!!!
Shirley Mae—We did the “not automatic” clocks before we went to bed last night, too. Sometimes it’s easier to just go to bed and see which ones change and then change the ones that don’t. Oh, I do know about the weather in Kansas and Missouri! It goes from AC to heat in a matter of minutes this time of year. It also can go from not freezing rain to freezing drizzle and snow in minutes as well. S-n-o-w is a 4-letter word when you’re traveling! Ugh!!!
Well, you know it’s pizza here and salad. We have leftover chocolate cake, blackberry cobbler and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I made corn on the cob one meal and off the cob corn another meal as well as blackberry cobblers, and everyone enjoyed the fare from our and our son’s farms. Even though California has great produce, this was a Kansas treat for them.
Bon appétit!

Hi, everybody. It is definitely fall, here. The leaves are all over the ground. I am back on track, after a weekend of splurging. Had chili with fresh chopped onions and Greek yogurt on it. Greek yogurt is the new sour cream, you know. Then, I went all out, and topped it with chunked avocado. My girls were happy to see me, when I got home.

Hi everyone, sliding into my chair very late again.
Sue and Ken stopped by on their way through to Texas, we had a very nice visit and I got to meet their puppy too, he's so cute!
It was a beautiful day here, we're having the same weather as Carole

We cleaned a closet out this morning, I still need to put a few things back but it's way nicer and I'm getting rid of a free things at the same time.
Dad came over for supper, I made chile rellenos and rice.
Chickie, the party, food, family and friends sounds amazing.
Carole, I hope Ken gets relief soon.
Mary, sounds like a lovely little town.
Shirley Mae, I love hearing about Mary's travels too.
Becca, wind is my last favorite weather of all, no matter what the temperature is.
Pam, I haven't tried that yogurt yet, someday
Vel, almost there

I haven't found shoes yet, I'm hoping soon.
Tina
