SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Oct 27

Good morning,
Weather here was pouring in the morning and sunny and warm in the afternoon. We've got a nice morning today, then rain is coming back, bringing wind and possibly even L&T in some places. And once the rains come, they usually stay for a while.
Yesterday I got my wall-hanging quilted. Today is binding and embellishments. I have to run to Michael's for a couple jingle bells, a dowel, and some twine. Happily, it's only 2 miles from me. Then I'll do some cleaning as the family is coming over tomorrow for brunch. I have the trailer mostly packed but there's still some odds and ends that need to be carried out and stowed or secured. Bill insists on packing his own things but he always waits until the last minute. I noticed he still has all his shorts and tees in the trailer closet, so he has to UNPACK before he can pack!
BECCA - love your post! Your yard is all purrfect, your son is moving forward with a plan for his future, and your errands are done! Life is settling down for you for now. At least for the time being. And your DGS is right - the rains are here. He gets more than we do, however. Did you know he's not far from Bill & Melinda Gates' vacation home?
CHICKIE - how was the party last night? Were there costumes? music? dancing pole??? lol! Glad you like my nails. They are a fun change and they purrfectly matched the sweater I wore yesterday, but I doubt I'll ever do this color again! lol! And no - not a French manicure. My nails are all my own. I just got polish. Not even gel.
JANA - poor Ethan had quite a scare at school! Thankful you were close by and you'd taught him how to get to your house. What a smart little guy! Now I've got a mental picture of you sitting in your garage disguised as a pile of quilts! lol! We don't get T/T'ers but that never stops us from buying candy. At Costco! I'll give out baggies of little candy bars to my own kids and grands tomorrow. The rest will go into the trailer.
IRISH - what a nice day with your sister. And you DID take away her sadness - at least for a day. And every laugh, every chuckle, and even every tear, is healing. I'm so glad you have each other. Your new chairs come Tuesday, don't they? What sort are they? Recliners? Occasional? other?
TINA - You must be exhausted! Moving one kid and then cleaning their house for them while taking care of the other kid's boys while they have strep throat and then feeding everyone! In my next life I want YOU as my mom! Last night we were watching an episode of Live PD that we'd recorded. It was in El Paso and boy, was there rain!! 4" of standing water in some places. I'm sure it's the same rain you were having a couple days ago, and we thought of you as you live in the same general region and had been having lots of rain, too.
Supper tonite, I think, is going to be chicken fajitas. Or maybe chicken tacos. As usual, I will let Bill choose just to let him think he has some control over what I cook. haha!
Have you got a plan yet?
