Good morning!

It's a rainy one this morning! But no complaints here! Looking for a dry day, though, so we can hang our new Christmas lights - multi-colored LED C-9's from Costco. Then we put them on timers and forget about 'em!

I've signed up to take a class Wed morning on my new machine. Turns out the learning curve is just TOOOO frustrating! I finally had to get out my old machine so I could do some satin stitching for a small holiday applique project I was making for a gift.

Our Oregon friends, Bob & Betsy, (it was their place where we hid all the fun things in their yard for them to find) are here for one more night. We'll go to Happy Hour with Gus & Claudia tonite. G&C don't know B&B are in town so it will be a surprise. All our friends know each other so it will be a fun surprise. Last night Betsy brought Mongolian Beef over rice, salad, and lemon bars for our supper.

Today I think the guys are going to install a security camera in our living room and Betsy and I will work on a 2015 Row by Row pattern I sent her 3 years ago from a quilt shop in Fairbanks. It has moose on it and she dearly loves moose. Thankfully, I sent the entire kit! lol!

BECCA - I hope your friends decide soon where they want to spend their 'golden years'!

JANA - your homemade noodles sound delicious. Do you have a pasta rolling appliance or do you do them by hand? I'm a hand person, myself. I love having frozen homemade dinners all ready to go for 'those nights'.

TINA - sounds like the wedding was everything a wedding should be! but I bet you're glad it's all over! lol!

Supper tonite for us will be whatever we grab at the Mexican restaurant. Probably a taco salad for me. What's on your menu?

Good morning :)
Wow, did we ever have a storm last night! Very much needed rain though, we might getmore today.
Mary, why are they putting a security camera in your living room? I don't think I'd do good with your new machine of it requires classes. But good luck to you :)
I think we have to grocery shop before I know what's for supper tonight.
Not much happening here....laundry, straightening things up and grocery shipping....I'm on Fall break so no kids this week.
Tina

Good afternoon! We were 78 when I walked to take care of Ava and then on to Choc’s. We are going for 85. This is a crazy October so far, but I’m not complaining here, either! We had rain yesterday, and when we hiked across the pasture, I had to watch where I stepped more so than usual.

Mary—I didn’t get to hang my laundry out yesterday, and we just had a quick, short walk between showers. That’s great to have all your friends meet up and have a surprise. Know you are having fun quilting with a friend! It’s nice to be able to take the classes with your machine and learn the new features and specialty tricks. I know I would have benefitted, but it was way too far to go for them.

Tina—The wedding sounds just beautiful! Know you were ready to relax when it was all over! Enjoy your week of fall break and recoup!

Becca—humming bird cake??? Yes, I have heard of it—lots of crushed pineapple? Sounds like your DS’s friend enjoys making desserts! Enjoy!

Tomorrow DH has his Area Agency on Aging meeting, and I’m going to ride with him. There’s a quilt show at the art gallery put on by the local guild there. He can drop me off, and I’ll walk to his meeting and sit in the car and read a book—IF I finish the quilt show before his meeting ends! I used to live up there 45 years ago; so much has changed! It will be fun to walk around town.

Dinner tonight… uh, oh! DH was VERY successful with a rod and reel off the dock behind our house. Chips and salad will complete the meal. I can find some cookies in the freezer for DH for dessert.

Bon appétit!

Good afternoon from sunny, warm, summery, SW. Pa...Love it and wish it would stick around but we all know that's not gonna happen.....

Mary, OK we all are curious about the camera, what's up? Aside from ghosts, does it have something to do with next door? I've often thought about getting a new machine, nothing like anything like what you've gotten but, a more up to date than what I have...BUT, I know darn well, I'd have problems and I'm not a booklet reader and would probably fail the classes sooooo, I'll stick with what I got....I really think it's great that all your friends kind of know each other, what a nice surprise.....

Becca. we're also having sunny, fallish weather and I'm loving it...Not that I'm getting too much accomplished but it's great to be able to keep those windows open at night....Yum, your dinner and goodies sound good and I'm not an icing person, but I'll take the cake.....

Chickie, For sure, this October is crazy...We're pretty much having the same weather you're having, weird but good...I was picturing you walking through the pasture, watching where you stepped...In a way, I miss those days, a little.....Don't tell Mary, but your dinner also sounds yummy.....Enjoy that quilt show tomorrow.....

Tina, I saw the wedding pictures on FaceBook, so pretty...Looks like everyone had a great time...Also so pictures of your storm and that one where the reporter took a mountain lion for a dog, yikes....Let's hope Mother Nature settles down and we all have normal weather for a change..Well, she can let us have this summer weather for awhile longer.....

Yesterday, I gathered up my sister and Cindy and we went to a bingo and all the bingos were paper products, which is a great idea...But, they also had the usual Chinese auction and we all won a basket...I'm really not a bingo person but when it's run by church ladies and they have a buffet, count me in....Dan and Casey got home from Hawaii so my kitty sitting is done for awhile and Terry and Theresa are back from N. C. and seeing Nick, so Scout went home...The house seems strange, so strange that I actually and finally did the windows in the dining room.....
Terry and DW had gone to Biltmore and brought me a bottle of Biltmore wine so maybe to celebrate the clean windows, I might have to pop the cork, tonight.....
As for dinner, nothing comes to mind but I sure won't starve, although I don't have any chips.....

You all have a great day.........

Happy eating...........

Good afternoon, almost evening!

The rag quilt is done - here are the statistics - 208 squares, 832 sides and about 11,700 clips to make the raggy edge! Now it is heading upstairs to the washer and dryer for their part in the finishing work! LOL!

Went out shopping with Aaron. I have the Costco membership, he doesn't. He was telling me some of his escapades out there on the freeways. I don't know if you know or remember the video game of Frogger - trying to get the frog across the traffic with out getting spalatted - well, Aaron had to retrieve a truck tire on I-80 - as you come into Salt Lake it is only two lanes of traffic, so Aaron timed and watched the cars and Semi trucks and when he had a large time opening, he dashed out and pulled the tire over to where his vehicle was. Oh, my! And we have snow coming! Double Oh my!!!

Dinner - soup and a sandwich. Tomorrow I will make noodles. Yes, I roll my by hand and I do have a pasta machine, but it is tradition that they are rolled and cut by hand. I caught he** once when I did use my machine. The family wants rustic shapes - LOL I do make pasta with my machine and use it to roll out the sheets of dough for my raviolas. I do need to make a bunch of those one of these days. But I won't tell the kids, as they will all be out here and eat them! My raviolas filling is a spinach meat with some cheese.

Well, need to drag this quilt upstairs,

Enjoy!
