Good morning!
Yay!! I finished my magazine project! Now I only have 2018 issues. and all my BLOCKS, of course. I won't get rid of those. They aren't really magazines but quilting books. I use them all the time. Even back issues.
Today I'll clean up the sewing room mess, run some errands, and then start packing the RV for our 3-day weekend. We're going to a wine club party in Eastern WA, about 230 miles away. Our friends, Gus & Claudia are going with.
LINDA - I'm SOO sorry about your construction woes! it does sound like you'll be tearing up the floor. When we go south we stay in Georgetown, TX at a Corps of Engineers Park. Really nice campground. Lots of trees, large spaces, picnic tables on cement slabs with solid shelters, firepits, power and water at the site. We do have to go up to the dump station at the park entrance about once a week to dump the waste tanks. there is also security. There are many Corps parks around the country but lots are in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and I've seen them in Montana, too. We have a book, Camping with the Corps, that gives locations of them all and descriptions, directions, and lists amenities. We camped at Lake Tahoe once, about 18 years ago. the campground we stayed in, on the CA side, was large, lots of trees, and beautiful woodsy sites. I don't recall if there was power and water at the sites. Probably was. But we carry enough water for a week and have a generator so we really didn't need the utilities anyway for a short stay.
CHICKIE - I hope things are quieting down in your world, if not cooling down. I can't wait to see how it goes with HG and all of yoru hard work! Will they display your projects on-line on their website or ????
BECCA, like you, I usually finish every project before I start another. All my UFO's are swaps. And silly me, all of them are double sets! So I guess since I have 2 sets of plaid lodge blocks that means I have 2 UFO's instead of just 1. Sigh. Glad you have the bear bells on order!
JANA - you are really mowing through your UFO's! Mine are in a 14x14x3 tote. Not so many. It's just DOING them is the thing here. There's always something else more interesting on my machine. lol! But I did clear out some closet space and 2 shelves by getting rid of all the magazines! Thanks for the flour lessons. I'm going to be reading labels on flour now, too! Seems anymore, I spend more time reading at the grocery store than shopping!
IRISH - Yesterday morning was your DBIL's memorial service and last night you flew to Vegas. What a day it was for you! Have a good time with your Kathy!
Tonite we may finally get to those burgers that I never made the other day. and I'll make seasoned jo-jo's in the oven. Some folks call them ranch fries.
Is there a plan yet at your house?
