SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Aug 5th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Aug 05, 2018 3:59 am

Good morning,

We are warming up again and will be back to 90 degrees this coming week. But I won't complain because it rarely gets that hot here and it will only last a few days. I promise. I may 'report' the temps, but I won't complain. ;o)

Yesterday I got all the laundry done, clean sheets on the bed, Costco run, binding on the anniversary quilt, and super-cleaned my kitchen. Today will be clean the rest of the house. Vac, dust, polish, mop. UGH-lies!! Bill is going to visit his brother again.

PAM, I love you, too, but if you MUST eat banned food, and apparently you must, please refer to it as "mac & cheese" (one of my personal favorites!) so my tummy doesn't go into revolt. 🤮🤮🤮 I thank you. and good luck finding your fabric. I went to 7 different places looking for appropriate fabric and couldn't find any that passed muster so I didn't join the snowman swap. I'm not an on-line shopper, but if you are, perhaps you can find your fabric there . .

CHICKIE - well, I guess you are busy sewing, sewing, designing, and sewing! We probably won't be seeing a lot of you here for a few weeks!

BECCA - I don't blame your DH for having little appetite. It's hard to feel like eating when you just feel like crappola all the time.

JANA - you have one more day to feel better - then it will be time to hit the rails!! Scottie had the same problem yesterday. Thanks to Vicki tossing something rotten and tempting into the yard. Scott threw up in the dining room. I hope you made it to the bathroom.

I have some leftover pasta so tonite is going to be fried onions and noodles. I might add some hamburger. I might not. We'll also have salad and maybe I'll put beans on the salad or boiled egg. I'm trying to use up any leftovers cuz tomorrow we have friends rolling in in their RV's from Oregon and new Zealand. They will be here two nights so suppers are already planned and they don't include leftovers.

What's YOUR plan? Mac and Cheese, anyone??
P.S. I posted a picture in PHOTOS if you'd like to my quilt.

Hello everyone,Day turned into sunny nice day at 80 .I have been watching a Mama & her Fawn in front of house.Im sitting on porch & they ignore me.Of course they know it’s safe territory. And my hummers are really putting on a show.So many trying to eat.

Maryz Sure wish a fairy would give my kitchen a good cleaning.Yes it is hard to eat when you hurt all the time. But I keep trying to find something appealing.Sorry about Scottie.

Jana I hope today is a better day.Thats why I prefer my own food.Heard too many stories on Restaurants food. The one we go to mostly I trust.
Ethan is a keeper for sure.So like our Levi was & still can sale anything.

Pam Hope you find the perfect fabric.I hate when you can’t find the right one.Been there many times.

It’s beans over bed of rice with spring onions .May go get blizzard later.Read our DQ is closing end of month. The owners are retiring. Becca

Just started raining.Never know what it will be doing.

Happy midday:

It was actually 67 degrees at 6:00 a.m. But it didn't last long. Still hot and smokey most of the day.

I haven't been able to get outside for the past 4 days because of workers in and out of the house demolitioning the bathroom. I get so hot working outside that I like to strip down to au natural and jump into the pool. I can't do that with 3-4 men hanging around, so I just didn't do any yard work. Instead I have been working on refurbishing the Featherweights I have. I have finished both the machine and cases for 2, one for my friend and one to sell. Still have a Centennial Featherweight (I will keep this one) and a 66 to work on. This morning I got outside till noon because no workman for 3 days. Then tile guys come on Wednesday and I will be limited again.

Sad news, one of our quilting group that meets every other Monday passed away this morning. She had been diagnosed with a brain tumor in Feb and elected not to do anything. She was the nicest, sweetest little lady I have met in quite a while, 83 years old.

Well, you all have a good rest of the weekend. Prayers for all those in need.

It was playing with snowmen day. It is nice and warm, here, today. I was melting. I prefer this to winter, but I did sit by the AC.

Have a bright afternoon. No idea what I will make my honey for dinner. Maybe cereal. Lol.
