SUPPER CLUB - Sat, July 28

Good morning!
IRISH - sorry for your friend's loss. But sounds like you all are a great support for each other. Interesting that your tree guy is from your sister's shady past (whether she knew it or not!). Congrats to Terry on sale of his house. And good for Nick! Choosing his own path. I wish him a long and safe career in Criminal Justice. What sort of thing is he interested in the most? and I definitely do remember and miss Joanne. I still get a Christmas card from her but no letter. I miss her.
BECCA - hearing you talk of mowing your lawn exhausts me and makes my hip hurt!
CHICKIE - How was Shelly's birthday gathering? No rain, I take it, but at least you're a tad cooler! Barkapalooza - haha!
PAM - I love cukes any way I can get them. My mom always put them in vinegar and milk. I think canned milk, but I'm not positive.
CAROLE - how are all your patients?
LINDA - Any change in your weather forecast coming up? I guess at least, like rain, it's good sewing weather (as long as you have A/C!)
TINA - have fun at the party today!
What a fun afternoon and evening we had with Autumn. Lee & Lara (DD1 and DSIL) were here, too. They brought supper - everything to make ham/provolone/spinach sandwiches on ciabatta rolls. They didn't leave until after 10pm. Long night for me who goes to bed by 9! lol! But didn't matter cuz I had sleepless night anyway. Today we'll do it all again but add Mike & Emily (my DS and DDIL) and one grandson, Drew.
Bill was with his brother all morning and half the afternoon. He's going back today. Nurses told Mike's wife that he has 2 or 3 days left, so it's more important that Bill is there than here. Family seems to have it all together, is accepting, and peace made with the situation.
So in between everything, I'm getting a little bit of sewing done on the anniversary quilt. I'm full speed ahead as much as possible on that project, though I may get pulled up short when it comes to the quilting.
Happy Supper!
