May 21 daily devotion

Remember Me Lord
2 Kings 20:1-11

When we find ourselves in desperate circumstances--especially in a life and death situation--we want to say, Remember me, Lord. I love you and want to serve You longer. We know God doesn't owe us that. But we also know He is a God of mercy and grace. And we are asking for His grace to be extended to us now.

One of the things Hezekiah's prayer did was to clearly identify God as the source of his healing and deliverance. By turning to God with his whole heart, he was coming to the only One who could change his fate. God heard his prayer and the cry of his heart and not only healed him but gave him 15 more years to live and serve. When you are in a difficult situation, cry out to God as the source of your healing and deliverance. Thank Him that He is a God of mercy and grace.

Hugs and Prayers

I've done this and it works well. I've said God I need you now and there was someone sent to break up what could have happened.

It was a great feeling to be assured of God's care for me.
