MONDAY - 14 MAY SUPPER CLUB

Good morning! It was a super busy weekend, but it was wonderful! Mom loved her placemat and napkin I made from Mary’s scraps. It was purrrrrfect! Thank you, Mary!!!
After I got home from the store and town, I put groceries away and planted a flat of begonias and pulled weeds. My DD called and asked if they could camp in their camper somewhere on our property with electricity. They did this spur of the moment and couldn’t get into the lake campground. Of course, I was delighted to have them, and they came and parked in the yard where Mary and Bill park. We had a campfire and made s’mores using DH’s pitchfork to hold the marshmallows. The kids really enjoyed it. The stars were beautiful, and DSIL even got a glimpse of a shooting star. In the big town (small city) where they live, the stars are barely visible.
Yesterday, the kids got up early and had breakfast while DH was at coffee. Meanwhile, DS2 called and invited us to brunch. DH and I went to brunch, and DD and family went to the lake so the kids could swim at the sand beach. They had a blast making sand castles, swimming, and burying each other in the sand while we had brunch with DS2 and family. DS1 and wife gave me a beautiful fern for the porch—we saw them as we were going over to DS2’s. (Everyone lives within 3 miles, except my DD and family.) Later DS3 came by and wished me a Happy Mother’s Day.
We all had dinner together late yesterday afternoon before the kids went back home… picnic fare—such fun!
And… the fun ends. Rental. Mowing. DH received a nastygram certified letter from the city on one of the properties—the biggest, of course. Well, he slimed out, so there will also be clean up and disposal this week. I dread it. We will be going to town in a few minutes.
Dinner here… I’m not sure… more of the same, I guess.
Bon appétit!
