SUPPER CLUB - May 1 - MAY DAY!

Good morning!
It's a bird-chirping morning! They are liking May so far!
Yesterday was a productive day. Got a lot of cleaning done. Also sewing, laundry, and we did give blood! yay! My iron was up to 14.2. Bill's wasn't quite that high, but it was high enough.
Today I have a massage appointment at noon. I'd rather early or late, but he is in high demand, so I take whatever appointment I can get. And it's noon. Otherwise, it's sew, sew, sew.
JANA - I did get those diamond in rectangles mastered! I have 20 done and they are purrfect. Only 38 left to go then I can start assembling my Orca. That's funny, just when you get the shut-off valve handy, you don't need it! Hope your rain lets up soon.
BECKY - there you are!! I was thinking I'd have to send a search party. Glad you got out of town for a few days. I hope it was for a good reason . . Funny about your cousin on the cop show! I hope no one else recognized his voice!
BECCA - that's awful about the property dispute in your town! Needless! At least Vicki has no weapons unless you count her walking stick that she uses for balance. And Vicki's pre-Huntington's nature is gentle and kind, so hopefully somewhere in there that sweetness still lives. Glad you had such a good turnout for the charity quilt work. I know my DDIL loved doing that at their church, but I think her group disbanded.
IRISH - glad you are getting out and catching some rays! I know your yard is pretty and I bet your sprucing it up is making it even prettier! Sorry about your Penguins, though. But like you said, next year is coming!
PAM - that's a good 'game' to play with the little ones who aren't enthralled with your menu choices. We used to let our kids trade their 'don't wants' in on something else in that food group, too. Lara hated peas (still does) so she ate extra salad. And everyone was allowed a few 'heartily dislikes'.
TINA - where have you gotten to??
CHICKIE - how is Doyal doing? And you with your dental work? I suspect dinners at your house are rather uninspiring this week. Hope everyone is feeling better soon.
LINDA - how did the camping prospects look? Did your DH's cabinets arrive yet?
Last night's supper was good (I thought). I think Bill liked it. He rarely comments, but he scarfed it all down pretty quickly. I tossed diced leftover chicken, rice, onion, garlic, mushrooms, olives, green chilies, peas, capers, and a bit of cayenne with Cr of Chix soup, sour cream, and dijon mustard. Topped with shredded cheese and baked for 40 min. And there's more for tonite! The spinach is gone but we still have fresh tomatoes to slice. I think this will clean out the fridge and we can start over again.
