SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, April 15th

Good morning!
We have no rain this morning! After the deluge we got yesterday I'm happy! We have to maneuver our trailer out of its parking spot this morning and I hope the ground isn't too soft . . .
The 50th anniversary party yesterday was super! Bill's DB, Mike, made a very short speech about marriage that had all the women, yours truly included, in tears. Then he got down on one knee and re-proposed to Barb! And she said Yes! My hubby, ever the techie, had the whole thing on FB before Mike was off his knees!
We are about ready to leave, but no hurry as it's only a 4-hour drive to our campground and we can't get into our reserved site until noon if it's still occupied from last night. So I have time to spend with y'all this morning!
JANA - happy new grandbaby!!! Have you met her yet? After all the worry of the past two months, I can only imagine how excited and relieved your whole fammily must be! In the words of Chriss, smooch her for me!
PAM - whew! You were a toughie to train! Glad we've got you straightened out now. A couple of these ladies have almost made me have to come over there! Your blocks are neat. I love new, easier ways to make old favorites. Your hubby is a nurse, too? I'm a retred R.N., too. I worked geriatrics for a while and then NICU for 20 years.
IRISH - we'll be looking for you to join us later! Have you got anything in that suitcase yet or are you still basking with the kitties? Nice to see Jim is still the sunshine of your life. ;o)
Your friend's name is Virginia, aka, Gin? Mine, too! Mary is just my alias. Not the water heater! We got ours Oct 6th, 1997 and it's still hanging in there. I was in the hospital for a week with my hystie when Bill said it went out. So he came to visit, told me he had a present for me, walked me to the window and I looked down at the parking lot where he'd left the pick-up, with a big box in the back. When I got home, I had shiny new hot water for my shower!
BECCA - Your DGS probably got more rain that we did, and we got a LOT! what a pretty setting for a shower! Your description made it sound idyllic! I hosted a bridal shower out on our lawn once, in the shade. No creek, though. But it was so nice out there. And we didn't invite any snakes! ugh!! I feel sorry for snakes, though. They do get a bum rap. Glad we only have little garter snakes here, non-poisonous, and I haven't seen one in 20 years.
BECKY - very clever, blame Irish for our dietary transgressions! I can dig that! Better than blaming ourselves! I think my hubby would faint if he found a mouse, plastic or otherwise, under his pillow. We had a housesitter once that didn't take very good care of the house. We got home and found a dead mouse under our bed pillows! and it had been there for a week!! EEEK!!!
CHICKIE - we need a report on Doyal. How are things going at your house? Any news on the SIL front?
TINA - I think you are forgetting to eat! You haven't checked in for a long time. Everything OK?
I'm not sure about supper tonite. I have to think about it a bit. It might be jambalaya, made with kielbasa. Bill went to get a ring of turkey kielbasa at the store and came home with some ghastly looking coiled rope of high-fat sausage that's filled with Lord knows what and encased in real intestines! I'm gagging at the thought of that and he can't wait for me to cook it. Seems like a good day to begin my diet! lol!!
I just hope your supper tonite isn't as ghastly as ours!
