Good morning!

We've got heavy rain today. So if you live east of me, watch out! It's coming your way. Hard to get in the camping mood, but I'll try. I'll be packing the trailer fridge this morning since I didn't get to it yesterday. Then off to the 50th anniversary party this afternoon. We'll be up and on the road tomorrow morning.

IRISH - great numbers from your dr appt! Mine is coming up in June and I expect nothing so good as yours! So sorry your sis is sick. Seems there is another wave of flu going around. Poor Judi and Suzette are just getting over it. So don't go getting exposed! You want to be healthy for your trip! Sounds like Jim has been smiling on you, sending you all the sunshine he can. You can ride along with us on our travels any time you wish! Though this trip, you may want to re-think that unless you've got good rain gear!

CHICKIE - glad you made it home. Just like Dorothy! There's no place like home! Hope your patient is doing well and your Hooligans understand Daddy has an owie. My brother's Hooligans had to get some lessons in that, too! No tornadoes I hope! And no SIL!!

BECCA - It's shower day! Enjoy the festivities! I haven't been to a bridal - or baby- shower in years.

PAM, PAM, PAM - Not the F-word AGAIN!!! It's a "Mac & Cheese Fry", dearie! Shaking my head here. Out of curiosity, what does your hubby do?

LINDA - when is the painting party on the new building? I want to be sure to avoid California that day!

JANA - so, unless you have overnight news we haven't heard yet, today has GOT to be the day!

BECKY - When we cleaned out my aunt's house about 1986, we found two boxes of canned goods in her hallway. The wood floors were pristine new under those boxes and the food was from WWII era. Cans were bulging. We tossed those very carefully! And that woman I mentioned yesterday? She lived in a large, 2-story, 4-bedroom farm house and was eventually sleeping on the porch because she could no longer get into any bedroom. Her son turned out to be just like her. My poor friend married him and is miserable!

I didn't get too much done yesterday. Bill was bored and it was too wet to go outside so he wanted to load a quilt on the frame, so I had to prep a top for him and piece a backing. Then I ended up playing in scraps and just generally goofing off in my sewing room. So, this morning, I'll finish up my few chores before the party. I expect there will be food at the party with no need for cooking afterward. But if there isn't, we can always stop someplace on the way home. Maybe with Bill's DS and DBIL. They are both so enjoyable to be with that I'd actually like to do that, even though it will mean the fur kids will be eating late.

What are you having tonite?

Good morning!

Do we know what day it is? Yes, it is baby day! Just got a call from Aaron and Kate is to be at the hospital at 10 this morning. We gave Lila all week to choose her birthday, now it will be the 14th of April! Probably sometime this afternoon.

Not much here. Getting the Ward bulletin done and delivered and the floors in the main part of the house. Then playtime in the Batt Cave.

Sarah is finishing up a layette for a handmade cradle for her SIL, on her DH's side of the family. Needs to run some ideas past me, so is coming over in a little while.

Dinner - will see what jumps in the basket when we go get milk and a newspaper. Maybe out, if we go meet Lila.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon from a warm, partly sunny SW. Pa...How great to be able to have the windows open and actually smell that fresh air....The fur babies are funny, they each have grabbed a window and there is no way they'll move (unless I'd rattle the treat jar)....Even Jake is stretched out on the sunny part of the patio, getting his tummy warmed.....

Mary, Don't wait for me tomorrow but I'll catch up with you down the line....I'm really not as organized as you, got the suitcase out and that's it...But, if I remember, I did leave clothes in Florida the last time down, so I shouldn't need much....And I know a few neat stores not too far from Gin's and I now have a new card. In fact, I now have 2 new cards, lol....

Jana, Baby day, a new miracle, what could be more exciting..Sending prayers for a safe, easy delivery.....And if you don't mind, could you please send you snow any where but east, at least until I get out of town....

Becca, I hope you're not in line with those nasty storms that are hitting or moving east...Mother Nature sure has her problems this spring, doesn't she...But, this is shower day and hopefully, a happy, special day......

Chickie, keep thinking of you and hoping all is well...I imagine the fur kids were excited to see Daddy but not too excited...Wishing him well and a super quick recovery....

Oh Pam, you are in big trouble now, lol...But, we all do make those little mistakes every once in a while...We used to think we could get away with it if Mary was away but she's just like a mother, has those eyes in the back of her head and will catch you every time....

Today is "trying to get the house in order and not wanting to do anything" kind of day..But sooner or later I do need to get out the dust rag, maybe some polish and after the fur kids are done napping, I'll run the vacuum...Do have a load in the washer that I keep forgetting about and maybe I'll even sweep the laundry room (maybe)...Terry said, he'd stop down either today or tomorrow, so I'd better get moving...My water heater is showing it's age so while I'm away, he might install a new one...Who knows, I might get down there and find a place and not come back, lol.....

As for dinner, would be nice if Terry suggested something, pizza would be good but we'll just wait and see....

You all have a great weekend....Mary, safe travels...Do you pretend you're Willie Nelson and sing, "On The Road Again"?

Happy eating...............

Hello everyone.Nice day here but very breezy. It looked like we were going to have a bad thunder storm at shower. It was outside on lawn beside the creek.lovely setting.
Was very nice & lots of food.More ladies luncheon food. They got loads of gifts& lots of nice things.

Maryz Have fun on the road.DGS told us about the rain.He was outside in it yesterday.
Irish & I will be quiet in the back seat.lol

Irish You better get hopping with that suitcase. But if you already have some clothes there you are set.And all that beautiful sunshine you are having. We are too.But its all supposed to change tonite & tomorrow ,then be cold on Monday.

Jana All the best wishes for Lila & Mom too.Nothing like a precious little one.

We had a laugh last nite.Denise sent us a video of Avery after she saw her first snake with Daddy. They would ask her about the snake & she would do her tongue out & in just like they do.I told Denise she certainly didnt have the same reaction as her Grandmommy or GGrama. We both cannot stand to see them.

Will be cereal or just a lite something.I fixed DHs before I left.

Pam Youre fine.Mary just gets rattled if the word is spoken.lol

Chickie Sure glad it went so well for DH.Hope the recovery goes well.
Becca

Oh! How hilarious. I was so excited that I totally forgot the rules. Good thing we have people here to keep me on my toes. Don't they have Friday Mac n Cheese Fries in other parts of the country? It must drive Mary crazy!

I am not looking forward to travels and camping, like some of you. I am, however having fun with sewing, lately. Today, Mom and I went to a class at our quilt guild working on Anita's Arrowhead blocks. We did several a year or two ago when Anita Grossman Solomon came to our guild. We did a bunch more, today. They are fun, easy, and look awesome. You sew around two squares, make a couple cuts, and sew together the pieces. It's from her book, Rotary Cutting Revolution. Some time I want to make the self mitered log cabin from there.

I am so excited about the baby, and everyone else, here, is so excited about the baby; Jana has to be through the roof!

Becca, I am fine with a snake, as long as they don't move. Once they start squiggling, I am out of there.

Irish, it was beautiful, here, too. Sunny, mid 40's. Supposed to be a winter storm with ice, tonight. Some day Spring will come.

Chickie, I am glad things are going so well, with DH. My BIL had gastric sleeve, but it was combined with surgery to remove a mass in his stomach. It was not pretty, and he had complications that nearly killed him. He was in rough shape and in hospital for a couple three months. Your honey is already well past that, thank goodness.

Had to edit to add in supper. I think it will be a nice salad with boiled eggs and goodies.

Hubby is a nurse with the same company I work for.

She is here! Arrived at 2:57 this afternoon and weighed in at 8lbs on the nose. She is a shorty at 19 inches. Mother and baby are doing great. So is Dad - Aaron. Aaron texted a picture of little Lila and she is a chubby cheeked copy of her dad - Aaron!

I don't know if I will get my hands and lip prints on her today or tomorrow after church - we will see!

Thanks for all the worries with me! You all are great!

Jana

Good evening ladies....
How exciting! Lila is here! I couldn't even tell that you were excited, Jana...Ha....just kidding. So much fun. Does the big sister love her yet?
Mary, have fun on your trip. Sounds relaxing, even if It is on the beach while it is cool and rainy. Have fun at your anniversary party. So glad your BIL made it to this milestone.
Chickie, glad Doyal is home. I imagine that you are like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz....hope your SIL decides to wait awhile....
Irish, maybe you should just call for the pizza, I bet the aroma would make Terry want to eat with you!
Becca, I would shudder too! Hate snakes and mice. Unfortunately, all the grands know it too....Can't tell you how many times I pulled the reptiles and plastic mice out of my bed after they had been here. The oldest one, especially, thought it was great fun to have one peaking out from under my pillow....He just didn't realize I could tell when he stuck it there, he wasn't too good at smoothing covers....Ha....
Pam, those blocks are so pretty....I have a ton of unfinished projects too....Too funny, you got in trouble with Miss Mary! Ha, probably won't be the last time....
Weil, out kiddos are all out and about, so JR just wanted a couple scrambled eggs.....worked for me, I had a salad....of course, having a bowl of chips afterwards probably ruined the whole plan, but I do feel like Irish is promoting bad habits. ....
you all have a great evening.....Becky
