Good morning!
Well, I have good news and bad news. Albert is going home. today or tomorrow. I'm betting tomorrow. That's the good news. the bad news is that he wants me to come stay with him until he gets his feet under him and feels safe at home. That's not for sure yet, but probably. We are hanging on to our camping rezzies just in case but it's looking like we might be camping in their yard. I think he's just fearful of being home and suddenly have no support. But maybe my niece will stay with them . . . She only lives 1/2 mile away. In fact, he has family all over their tiny town that could provide extra support. So we'll see if someone else steps up. I'll go, of course, if he wants me, but I can't help but be a little disappointed.
Today will be a mixture of things - walk, chiropractor, vacuum, sew a bit, jigsaw puzzle, pack trailer around my sister who will be unpacking it, and then an early dinner out. My sis is leaving tomorrow for home and I think she's more anxious than I am!
JANA - glad your BR is making progress! Smart to take the heavy stuff around back! Good thing Ethan doesn't have pink eye, but then allergies stick around. Pink eye goes away.
CHICKIE - OOH, your poor mom! Had to be scary to take a tumble at 99! Glad she is OK. congrats on your new little baby!
BECCA - Denise will be there soon!! Happy Happy!!
BECKY - so how is your little one? do they know what's wrong with her yet?
IRISH - that's great about Nick having the internship so close to you! Bet you'll be making the most of that! Downsizing. I keep trying that. I end up giving away a 6" stack of mags and stashing the rest back into my sewing room.
Tonite we're going to eat at a large brew pub type of restaurant on the waterfront in Tacoma. Al & June will be going with as well as SIL, Terry. No cooking!
I hope you all have a great supper tonite!
and thank you all for the birthday wishes!

Good morning! We are going for high 60s again today. Yesterday the hooligans and I walked all over taking care of dogs and out through the pastures looking at all the cows and taking in all the fresh air. We had another calf late yesterday afternoon. All is good!
Mary—Happy, happy birthday!!! I’m hoping you can go on your camping trip! You sure deserve a break after all the hosting family and being there for everyone for so long. Enjoy your birthday dinner! How was the mac ‘n cheese?
Becca—I feel for Denise. This the season for allergies and migraines triggered by allergies. Hope you get to see her soon!
Irish—Is your snow melting? It’s crazy weather in your parts! How wonderful Nick will be close!!! I need to weed out my magazines, too. I love cooking and having leftovers to eat on for as long as possible. I really get tired of cooking for hours only to have it consumed in 15 minutes.
Jana—I love dandelions—the gold on the green… Call me crazy!!! I saw some the other day and knew that spring was coming.
DH should be here soon for brunch. I’m going to have to think of something to fix. He may decide on biscuits and gravy. Dinner tonight… steak for him, baked potatoes, salads, asparagus, soup… it’s all here… I just have to fix it.
Bon appétit!

Good morning from a very sunny (I know this is Jim's doing), getting a little warmer, SW. Pa....
Happy Birthday, Mary, sure hope it's a super special day...Wow, you do have good and semi bad news, don't you? But, I can see why Albert would want you near by...And, you'll still be camping, in a way....All the magazines have been brought downstairs, sorted through and ready to go to a good home (I hope)...Right now, there are 4 piles and each are at least 6 inches high...I'm going to post a note at the PO if anyone is interested and then they might go to the Library....If I mentioned it to Terry, he'd have them on EBay or one of those spots, lol....It really is funny when you start cleaning, really start going through things that you thought you couldn't live without....I'm sure down the line, the kids will be thrilled that they don't have to find homes for my "stuff", lol.....
Becca, sorry to hear Denise isn't feeling up to par...Migraines and allergies can really knock you for a loop...Hopefully, the weather will get better and that in turn will help...Have a super day....
Chickie, sorry to hear about Mom's fall but thank goodness she's OK...She has a few years on me but I can relate to not wanting to leave her home...(Of course if someone wants to set me up in that little house in Florida, I might change my mind, lol)...But, it is a worry for you....Are you expecting many new calves this spring? Enjoy your day.....
Not sure exactly what I'm going to get into today...I'm semi done with the back bed/sewing room...The room isn't very big but I keep moving furniture around and am thinking of taking up the carpet and putting down wood or something similar..After seeing what Terry did to his house in N.C., I'd love to try it....I probably should do some errands today but that would mean going out and I'm not sure I want to put on that coat.....
Dinner might be that mac n cheese that didn't happen last night...Either that of a grilled cheese.....
You all have a great day............
Happy eating..........
Eagle Update:
We have a PIP in the nest closest to me...And the little eaglet is even making chirping noises, really working hard to get out of that shell...Did hear some sad news about a nest in the central part of the state, closer to where Cari lives...The mother had been sitting on 2 eggs and had been injured or worse yet, killed in an attack by a raccoon...The father sat on the eggs for 3 days, calling for his mate and then had to give up and leave the nest...

Happy Friday:
Happy Birthday MaryZ! Hope you get to go camping. We have had rain for 2 weeks so that put the nix on us doing any early camping. We had over 2 inches in the last 48 hours. Today should be quiet, then the rain comes back for the weekend. We are safe from all flooding where we live.
Just came back from an estate sale run, looking for old Singer machines and Featherweights to restore. No luck.
No evidence of termites for the last 3 days, 2 days without ants and 2 days of no cat c***p in the backyard. Is the target off our house finally?
Started a baby quilt for one of my former students, who has grown up, married and is now starting the second generation. Can't believe she is old enough to have a baby of her own, or how old that makes me!!
We didn't go out for dinner our usual Thursday night because of the pouring rain, so tonight we will. I have to wait to see what DH's mood is before I know where. Last night we had cubed sirloin, asparagus and rice. DH also made a delicious beef stew for future dinners and lunches.
Chickie-hope all your babies are doing well.
Irish-Your cleaning makes me want to go through my stuff too.
Becca-Hope Denise feels better. I, too, suffer from migraines and allergies. Denise was also my daughter's name, so I love that name.
Hope Spring comes soon for everyone, my blue iris is blooming and the Indian Hawthorn is about to turn all the bushes in the front yard pink. My roses look so green and lush with many buds on each one. I have a special formula I use to feed them when I cut them back in December. It gives them such a boost for the first bloom.
Prayers to all those in need.
**Linda

Good morning!
Mary - Happy Happy Birthday! You are such a good sister to go and camp at your brother's. My kids, Matt, Sarah, Aaron and Stu did s9mething similar. Stu was a little tyke, about 2 for this trip. The kids went looking for a campground near home, but all were booked, so they ended up at Sarah's FIL's home, way out in the backyard. It was early spring and cold. Stu could see the house and all he could say, was I want to be warm! That phrase is still in use in this family.
Becca - so sorry about Denise. Hope those pesky headaches are gone soon. Party tomorrow will be fun!
Irish - you got me thinking about all the years of magazines I have collected - maybe it is time to get rid of them as well. I did buy awhile ago a DVD with 20 years of Fons and Porter magazines - much easier to find projects.
Chickie - so glad your mom is OK. Such a worry for you.
Well, Ethan is at it again. I typed the story over in sewins. It deals with tears, cats and a mouse.
Dinner - I have a second vorned beef that hasn't made it to the freezer yet, that may make dinner, but I am not sure yet.
It is also my niece Sandee's BD today.
Enjoy!
Jana

Happy Birthday, Maryz!! Good news for Albert! Do you have any idea how long your stay would be, if you go to camp by him? It could be quite hard to pick an end date at this time, I know. Hopefully he will feel safe, if there are other family members close by to call upon.
Becca, hope your visit with Denise happens soon. Hope she if feeling much better tomorrow. Your dinner sounds delightful!
Chicki: Yes I look at the dandelions as a sign of spring, too. But oh, when they start to going to seed, then it is UGLY!! And if you mow them off, the next morning, the heads are all popped up again. I think it’s impossible to mow them off. LOL
Also, new farm babies is a great sign of spring!! Also hope Mom is doing better, too.
Irish: Your Eagle Update is so interesting. Another great sign of Spring!
Linda: Dinner sounds delicious, too. I love fresh asparagus. I miss that about our former life living in the country and having a garden. I miss my flowers too. In the summer time, I do the flowers in the pot on our patio space. But all winter, I just enjoy the plants and planters that others have here that live here year round. Well, it’s less work, too, so I need to think on the positive side, right?
Jana: I do love corned beef. I don’t cook it anymore as DH isn’t that crazy about the fixins that go with like the cabbage, etc. My friend and neighbor here used her slow cooker and made some. She brought me over a bowl full. Yummy!
As for us, tonight is a dance at our clubhouse. It’s not our favorite band, but it is music and dancing, so we are looking forward to the evening. I have leftovers for a quick meal. I will add a small salad to round it out.
I made some jello with fruit cocktail the other day and it was so delicious. I had not made it for a long time and really was hungry for it.
I am doing hand work from now until we get settled back in Shelbyville. I am enjoying the calm and relaxing hand sewing of my hexi’s. I have finally made a plan for my layout. I will see if I can post a picture for you.

Good afternoon ladies.
Hope you have a great birthday Mary, and that someone would like to stay with Albert, but I hear what you are saying, if need be, you will be there.
Becca, hope your DD's headache is better, that she can come. I know it is disappointing....
Sounds like all are busy as ever...We are just swamped, both at work and at home. At work, my boss is gone, and just from what I have seen and experienced the past two weeks, I will be retiring whenever she decides to, sometime this year. I may have to find something part time, but so be it. I think 22 years is enough in one place. Ha....
My DGD is still in the hospital, they are not sure what is wrong with her. They do not believe the infection from September is the issue, but are running all sorts of tests, and apparently, her diet, what little she is eating, is gluten free, although, they did say they would also check her again for a wheat allergy. Shannon says that she describes the pain to them the very same, same place and such, as she has been for the past year. I am not sure what they are going to do, but she sure did look pitiful last night.....JR didn't even think it was fake! Ha....told her to call if she needs something before we run by tonight, but haven't heard from anyone. Hope that is good news. They are debating the feeding tube again, like last time. Sure do hope not.
But, tonight, we will have something light, I think. I have another one at home, with a bit of a stomach bug.....I think we all need fresh air and a nice long vacation! Spring break starts tomorrow for the darlings.....that is like a mini vacation for me, I get an extra half hour every morning to sleep in, and extra time because we don't do the bus run. You all have a great weekend....Becky

Hi everybody!
I'm still around.
Mary,happy happy birthday!
I've been crazy and crazy busy here, our temps are in the mid 80's so I've been doing bunches outside. Between outside, the boys, Frankie, my Dad and the house stuff I've been swamped. Tomorrow is going to be ever busier, we were going to be watching the kids because Holly has to work and now we're taking them to a Sweets Festival, sounds fun and yummy to me! LOL
I think of you all all the time.
Hugs
Tina
