SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, March 20th

Good morning,
Today is my oldest brother, Gene's 83rd birthday. I'll call him sometime today, probably from Albert's hospital room so he can talk to him, too. Gene is still long-haul trucking in Alaska and may be on the road today. He sent a neat picture the other day of his truck and load - heavy equipment - stopped on the Alaska Highway, snow surrounding him. Albert loved seeing that photo.
Speaking of Al, no further word on him. The family had to let their room at the hospital inn go as the inn is booked solid. so they had to pack up Barb and take her home yesterday - 2-1/2 hour drive - and now someone has to babysit her. She is just too unstable, physically and mentally, to leave her alone. Not sure how the kids will manage both parents, plus Jeff's FIL. Al SHOULD go to rehab, but I don't think that's going to happen. As they all live 75 miles from us, we're not readily available, though we can be there quickly if they ask for help.
Bill and I have been hoping, planning to take a week and go camping in eastern WA and yesterday Bill put the hitch back in the truck. But then the set-back happened and it's looking like we're going no where soon.
JANA - I sure hope your nephew gets his job if he and your niece want it. sounds like great pay! and a steal on the apartment. My son used to live across the street from Amazon. I wonder if it's the same apartment complex. small world! congrats to your Ethan!! He is so smart! And has quite a personality!!
CHICKIE - how did your truck fare in the hail? I can't imagine you with any other vehicle! Poor Tinkerbell. I'm not fond of L&T either! Yes, I feel like a centipede sometimes with all my little feeties running back and forth to Seattle. Will be such a relief when we're done with that.
LINDA - I hope your TLQ gave you some relaxtion yesterday. And I love a good excuse to go through my toys, too! It's almost like shopping and everything is free! I'm sending wishes your way that you will soon be pest free.
BECKY - I wouldn't mind a cheeseburger myself!
IRISH - how wonderful to have you with us again! I so understand our need to do something but hesitant to volunteer at 'the home'. I think the kitties need you more and you need them. In my sister's town, there are shelter volunteers who walk dogs, too. I've been wondering about your eagles. Sad about the one egg, though. But happy about the progress all the others are making!
BECCA - I'm glad to hear your SIL is doing well. I think mine is, too. She is here visiting right now for a few weeks, but plans to be back in Las Vegas by Easter. It sounds as if she is making it permanent, living with her DD. It's working out well for them all. The table your DGS is making sounds amazing. What a gift!
TINA - how's it going with you and yours?
Supper tonite - no cooking for me! We are going to my DD, Lara's, for supper. Al & June will be going along. We joke about how we are all joined at the hip(s) and go everywhere together, even the grocery store! lol! I have no idea what we're having. My DGS, Alec, is cooking, I think. The one who just finished culinary school. My birthday dinner will be his final test! lol!
Are you cooking tonite?
