Deuteronomy 4:1-14
God is near when we Pray
It is comforting to know that whenever we pray to our God, He is present with us. The truths that Moses was teaching to the Israelite's still hold true for believers today. Our God is alive, He is close, He is responsive. The Lord is here to listen and to bring wisdom, insight, and transformation into hopeless situations. He is here to protect and guide His people on the paths He desires them to walk.
Moses reassured the Israelite's about their privileged status as the people of God. He reminded them that they were not like the people of foreign lands whose gods could not respond to them. Their God would remain with them at all times and would hear their prayers whenever they called on Him.
